Initiate Arrakna, very nicely done. However, since I am not as familiar with you as I am with JK, I shall have one more task for you to do to see if you are fit to be a padawan.
Initiate Arrakna, I wish for you to write me a well written essay (for lack of a better term) on the Jedi Code. In this essay, explain what each portion means and how it applies to the life of a Jedi. There is no word limit on this task. Just be sure you fit the requirements adequately. 
For reference, here is the Jedi Code:
There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.
There is no death, there is the Force.
Padawan Grumpy Gills, very nicely done. It was very informative, and very well thought out, though a more creative integration of Grumpy Gills would have been preferable.  That hardly matters though. Very well done.
You next task will be perhaps harder. I wish for you to choose one style of lightsaber fighting, and I want a detailed analysis of it. I wish for the strengths and weaknesses to be pointed out and examined. Discuss two different practitioners of the form within the Star Wars universe and how they differ from each other in their application of the form. I also would like the origins of the form touched on, both in the Star Wars universe and the Real World. Include four relevant pictures. Lastly, I wish for you to post a mock duel that you wrote, in which one of the duelists practices this form. I wish to see, in this 'duel', how the form would be applied. There is no word or time limit, though as always I expect you to write a well written response tht includes all of the requirements.
This may seem long, or intense, or whatnot, but I have the utmost confidence in your abilities.

Your task is the same as anyone who wishes to join. I'll post it again for emphasis.
In two well written paragraphs, please explain why you wish to join the New Jedi Trials. Spelling and grammar is very important. Please do your best to complete this using as good of grammar and spelling that you can. Feel free to spiffy it up too, you know, highlights, colors, bolding, whatever. Other than that, enjoy.
This is not necessarily the only task that will be required to become a padawan though. Don't get that misconception.
Joy did leave the AoD. I saw it myself. She, as is anyone, is welcome within the New Jedi Trials, regardless of their past... so long as they are not a current member of the AoD. Everyone starts with a clean slate. However, don't think that that means that I will tolerate people who leave the order and try to come back in the same fashion. This is a one time deal. Falling to the darkside from this day forth could very well have consequences witihn this order.

It is so good to be back!!
I wish to join the New Jedi Trials to rekindle the great experience I ahd in the previous trials. In the old trials I learned about myself as well as people from across the globe. I had a great experience living and acting like a jedi knight. Meanwhile, My past experience led me with a greater desire to be the best Jedi I possibly can be. My goal is to becoem a better Jedi than I was. This can be acheived with a higher rank, but also with actions that parallel the jedi lifestyle.
I also wish to join the New Trials because of my experience. I know I can guide and lead jedi to their own goals and aspirations. Overall, I know what a positive experience this can be and I look forward to starting my journey as a jedi.

Welcome, BBL. It's good too see some familiar faces back.
BBL, your task was certainly acceptable. Want to give you another though, before taking you to padawan level.
Tell about your favorite Jedi, whether within the movies or the EU. I expect this to be a detailed report about why you like them, what they were most notable for doing, and any other information you wish to include. I would like a little detai, as I stated.
For instance,
"Obi-wan, 'cause he's cool, trained Anakin and Luke, and gave his life, and was old and cooool." would not be acceptable.
Anyways, there is not time limit. Enjoy.
And, for our 'new' members, be sure to check out the offsite in the opening post. It really is a great little site.

Master Chuckles here is my next task.
My favorite Jedi is Anakin Skywalker. I will admit, however, that this has not always been the case. Anakin begins his Jedi life against all odds, starting years older than usual, and still has a prophecy to lvie up to. Anakin is a relentless and focused Jedi who is willing to do anyhting to better himself and those he cares for. He is the one who always tries to do the right thing but it never really works out. During the clone wars he became famous for his many accomplishments and victories. His greatest accomplishment however, can be overcoming the hold of the dark side and bringing balance to the force.

So, I will take you on as my second padawan.
Henceforth, you shall be known as.....
Padawan Acronymous. As with all padawan names, I expect you to somehow work that into each task you complete. Be creative with it.
So, your first task as my padawan is......
Write a story about my first days at the temple. Feel free to add stuff, but I expect quotes that I actually said to be in there as well. You must also work in purple bananas and invading tomatoes from outer space. My first time at the temple can be found in the original SWC Jedi Trials. I expect it to be lengthy, though the length itself has no limit. No time limit. Enjoy.

Task: Why I want to Join the Jedi Trials
I wish to join the Jedi Trials in the hope that my training and other experiences here will not only help me gain the knowledge and skills I need to succeed at becoming a Jedi, but that I might grow and learn important lessons to enhance my own life.
I enjoy studying and learning new things. Within these temple walls lies great knowledge. I wish to acquire as much as possible. That means more to me than winning any duel or battle I could ever face.
It's great to be skilled in combat, mastering lightsaber forms and learning how to properly use other weapons, and being a famous warrior because of these things and more.
However, I believe that knowledge is the greatest treasure that any individual can possess.
Knowledge is power. I want to be a wise Jedi who is strong in the Force.
Yes, the Force is what I wish to excel at mastering.
I know that being a Jedi is not easy, but I am ready and willing to live that life.
I look forward to the journey, and whatever lies ahead for me on the path I have chosen to follow.

Master, I have completed the first part of my task. The rest shall be up soon.
Form IV: Ataru
Ataru is an aggressive form of lightsaber combat, useful when fighting enemies one-on-one. The four main constituents of Ataru is; speed, power, strength and agility. In order to use Ataru effectively, one must call upon the force and let it fully flood there body. When this is done the force allows the user to call upon superhuman attributes. Ataru allows the user to attack from the air, ground, from all different angles, while at high speed. The strengths of Ataru is that it is an aggressive form, which is able to keep the enemy on there back foot for example like Yoda did against Dooku. Due to the fact that the body is flooded with force power, one can also overcome physical ailments like age or injury. The weaknesses are that prolonged combat will result in the user become tired and therefore combat ineffiecent. Also it is detrimental to use ataru in confined spaces as movement is restricted. It also lacks in defensive capabilities.
Ataru Users
Yoda:
Yoda uses Ataru mainly to overcome his age and stature. Using it he can flips all around the enemy attacking them from different directions using extremely fast sweeping actions.
Obi-wan Kenobi:
Obi-wan uses Ataru as an aggressive form of fighting, his moves are often looped and lead from one to the other with strength behind them, this allows him to face Darth Maul and best him. However after the death of Qui-gon Jinn, Obi-wan abandons Ataru in favour of Soresu due to its stronger defence.
