Is there any higher perfection?

Ghent, you may of course join. All are welcome. Please complete the following task:
In two well written paragraphs, please explain why you wish to join the New Jedi Trials. Spelling and grammar is very important. Please do your best to complete this using as good of grammar and spelling that you can. Feel free to spiffy it up too, you know, highlights, colors, bolding, whatever. Other than that, enjoy.
Joy, I wish for you to complete another task for me. Task follows.
Joy, I want for you to examine the Jedi Code. I want an analysis of each line. I would also like to see you tell how the code can apply in the life of a Jedi. I expect this to be detailed and well written. No word or Time limit. Enjoy.

Why I want to join the Light Side of the Force:
Though Jedi know that one cannot reach perfection, they strive for perfection because it is right. The Dark Side is filled with hate and greed, which cannot truly satisfy any person. Greed only grows, the more it has the more it wants, preventing real satisfaction. Hate is only in the mind of the hater; those he hates do not feel the anguish he feels, for he is the source of the hate and thus the source of evil. Ergo it is only right that he should feel the pain of the evil he is creating. The Light Side is just, it does not hunger for power. For it knows that power only corrupts and does not bring true happiness.
"There is no emotion, there is peace." If you do not allow your emotions to rule you, as [color=darkred]Sith do, you will be truly free. "There is no ignorance, there is knowledge." Jedi are in a sense agnostics, they know that even by studying all their lives they will not know everything. But they do not let this stop them, they continue to strive for knowledge despite this. "There is no passion, there is serenity." Passion is merely amplified emotion, trying to please your animal self. This must be controlled if you are to be at peace. "There is no death, there is the Force." Jedi know that through death, they find peace in the Force. Therefore it is unnecessary to mourn or fear death in yourself or others.
How's that?

Extremely well written, Ghent. I am impressed. Let me think on something, and then I will give you a new task.
ARC, of course you can join. Your first task....... is to find the first task, 'cause I am sick and tired of reposting it.
All Initiates have a first task, so you must complete that. It should be easy to find.
And, speqaking of offsites...... No one's looking at it.

Padawan Grumpy Gills, your next task is one that I feel you will enjoy.
I want you to do an examination on the Code of the Jedi and the Code of the Sith. I wish for you to explain each portion of each code. I wish for you to tell the strengths and weaknesses of each Code. As well, I wish for you to explain how the two codes contradict and/or compliment each other. I expect this to be as well written as your last ones have been. I expect it to be moderately lengthy, though as is the norm, no word or time limit.

Task: The Jedi Code
There is no emotion: there is peace.
This does not mean that Jedi have no feelings, but that they learn to control their feelings, so that their mind is at peace to concentrate on the important tasks that are set before them, and focus on the Force. A Jedi's strengs flows from the Force, but if the individual has a storm going on inside their mind, they can't sense the Force, or keep their concentration on their work.
This is why meditation is so important to a Jedi, and every Jedi should meditate every day.
2. There is no ignorance: there is knowledge.
I have often read how Jedi would spend time studying to prepare for a mission that they were assigned. This was a wise thing to do, because they knew what kind of situation they were going into beforehand. Learning something about the planet, its species, if any live on it, or studying battle strategy if one is going to fight in a war, are just a few examples of getting rid of ignorance.
After all, ignorance is the lack of knowledge. That is the way a Jedi gains power; through knowledge, and not knowledge through power.
3. There is no passion: there is serenity.
A Jedi does not allow their emotions to control them, but they control their emotions.
Fear, hatred, anger and aggression all lead to the Dark Side, so a Jedi must resist those negative emotions.
A Jedi must quiet their mind, calm themselves and exercise patience. Look at Anakin Skywalker in AOTC and ROTS. I dare say that he did not learn this lesson very well at all.
His friendly attachment and admiration for the Dark Lord, Darth Sidious clouded his judgment, causing his emotions to seize control of him, causing his fall to the Dark Side.
Serenity is paramount to a Jedi's concentration and focus at all times, and in all places.
4. There is no Death: there is the Force.
This means that Jedi become one with the Force, and they do not die.
Some can become Force Ghosts like Obi-Wan kenobi.
The Force is awesome in every way.
May the Force be with all Jedi everywhere.
