I present the first SWC Fanfic. The SWC Fanfic is a new idea that was pioneered by the great Imperial_Hammer, whom many of you will know from the RPF and EUC. In the EUC the 'EUC Fanfic' has been written for many months, and has a fairly large storyline going. This will be the first of hopefully many such short stories, weaving into a tapestry where all of us are represented eventually.

If you do wish to add to the Tales of the SWC, contact me and I'll see what you have for us. You're welcome to post short stories of your own, or continue where I've started off. Like I say, PM me or if I am not available for a time, Integral, for more approval.

Review, comment, and enjoy!

Integral Approved!

Stories from SWC City: Visitors and Visiting, part one, by Sinrebirth

SWC City was, to most people who never visited, an idyllic little place. It’s own share of activity, and insanity, be it in the Gold Palpy Society or the roaring practice in the Chewbacca Fan Club, but peaceful, calm. The older the fan club, or firm, the taller the tower in the landscape. The largest of the towers, the Cloud City Cantina, had long entered the clouds and touched the atmosphere, to the joy of the owners – who had raked in thousands of credits because of it. Many abandoned towers dotted the horizon, buildings where the firm had moved onto a second version rather than continue to the heights that the Cloud City Cantina had.

Currently, however, the city was bustle with activity. The enigmatic gamesmaster, Coruscant, had brought his Sleepy murder mystery game to the City, and people were bustling back and forth from the nearby EUC City and RPF City to join in. Strilo and DarthIntegral, the Mods – part governor, part police officer – were vigilantly watching for trouble makers.

Sinrebirth, Sinre to his friends, had been touring the city with a gaggle of others – Yuul_Shamar, Trimaj, and others – led by Chukles38, a prominent SWC citizen. A Jedi by trade, the Force wielder appeared haggard, Sinre had long decided, but determined not to show it. Rumours had it that the Jedi Trials temple had been closed by the Mods, for renovation, and the Jedi were without a base, apart from somewhere off-site to the SWC itself. Sinre himself was only just catching up on this. He was a member of the Senate, here, which was a wildly different organisation from the one in EUC City, but not much else. Force users from other cities weren’t allowed to use their powers and lightsabers unless they registered with the two Force groups in the SWC. Well, one, at the moment.

They’d just finished touring the Cloud City Cantina, and after an hour long lift journey back down the tower the group was were lagging. Sinre, mildly paying attention as Chukles spoke about the General Grievous Fan Club, many people nodding sagely as if they knew the Jedi-killer personally, looked away from the group and saw a street – Nemesis Boulevard – and spoke up.

“What’s down there?”

The group went silent, s65horsey – Sey to her friends – arching an eyebrow in disapproval. Sinre shrugged, and looked back at Chukles, whom was giving him that arch-Jedi look. Sinre gave him it back, though it wasn’t as impressive.

“Sith street.”

“Ah,” said Sinre.

Darth_nemesis?” inquired Sey, raising an eyebrow.

“That would be the one.” Chukles continued walking, and the rest of the group hurriedly followed. Sinre paused, looking into the dark alley, and Sey sighed.

“You want to take a look?”

“Maybe.”

“Wouldn’t hurt, would it?” Sinre looked up at the voice, to see Ktala perched on a windowsill, appearing quite content to balance there. She smiled down at the two, a lightsaber hilt hanging from her belt.

“Ah, Ktala.”

“Yes?”

“Any reason you’re stalking Chukles?”

Ktala leapt from the window, flipping. Sinre resisted the urge to pull his lightsaber. He wasn’t even allowed to use that without registering with a Force group. It was sensible inter-City practice. He may have been a powerful Force user over in EU City, but the Mods were law, and most took great pleasure in putting together inventive punishments for lawbreakers. So, until Sinre registered with a group – the Jedi being disbanded, and the Sith actually being the only obvious firm around - he was bound not to use his powers.

Sey had her arms on her hips, watching Ktala land. She smiled sweetly, Sinre managing to not flinch. “I wasn’t stalking him. I was simply sitting here, watching the street.”

“I see,” Sey said neutrally. “Still want to take a look.”

Sinre nodded slowly. “Sith scare tactics don’t exactly put me off. We have MASTERPRENN back in EU City, remember.” Confidence renewed, he grinned. Ktala shrugged, and led the way.

Sey, in her infinite wisdom, decided to follow the group. “I’m content not to be eviscerated by Nem, thanks. Be careful.”

Sinre kissed her on the cheek, and smiled. “Call in the cavalry if I vanish for more than a day, okay?”

“It’ll be embarrassing to save you, you know.” Sinre’s smile grew, and he turned after Ktala. He took off after her, seeing as she had gone more than halfway down the street without him.

--

Ktala, black robes making her difficult to distinguish from the shadows around them, abruptly turned, twenty-odd minutes later. Her face appeared nonchalant, and she gestured, palm out, to the left. Sinre followed her hand and raised an eyebrow. A small cloister of buildings, all emblazoned with Sith symbols and, predictably, blood.

“Paint, actually.” Ktala chimed in, seemingly expecting his thought. “The Mods didn’t want us kidnapping people to keep the blood red. When it dries it goes a horrible brown crusty colour, and we’d need to drain a whole person to repaint the building.”

Sinre shuddered at the morbidity of it, but followed through. Before he did so, an individual leapt from the top of the Sith firm. Adorned in a sleek black suit and sunglasses rather than Jedi robes, JediKnight20043 gave Ktala a scornful look. “Recruiting when there’s no Jedi around? Sneaky.”

“Maybe so, JK,” came another voice, and emerging from the shadows around the temple came silverfighter. Lightsaber igniting, the Jedi took a step towards Sinre. Fingering his lightsaber, Sinre wondered how quickly the Mods would cart his backside to Ban Prison if he thumbed it.

Ktala ignited her blade, a vicious crimson blade emerging, and then came a voice. “Enough.”

Nem himself emerged from a different shadow, directly behind Sinre and JK. Hissing, Sinre jumped, all but dropping his weapon. Fumbling with it, Sinre snarled. Nem simply looked at Sinre, piercing him with his gaze.

“You’d like to use that, wouldn’t you?”

Sinre hissed, rebuilding his composure around his defiance. “Maybe.”

Nem chuckled, deeply. “You can, you know, if you join the Sith.”

“Ahem.” A whisper in the Force drew Sinre’s eyes up, and he could see DarthIntegral, his Force powers increased by his Mod amulet, levitated in the air. “Is everything all right down here?”

Nem looked up. “Ah, Integral. A pleasure, as ever. We’re not allowed to recruit simply because the Jedi are defunct, then?”

Integral didn’t look amused. “Let the Jedi go, Nem.”

The Sith Lord smiled, and Sinre, rather than flinching, was curious as to the confidence of Nem. He wondered what Nem knew. Sinre resolved to find out. Nem glanced back at Sinre, winked at him, and then replied to the Mod. “Of course. We both know Sinre is going to join us anyway.”

“Sinre?”

“Yeah,” he said, keeping his eyes on Nem. “Sounds good to me.”

Integral snorted. “So be it. Ktala, move, please.” The steel in his voice made even Ktala step away, letting JK go. The Jedi looked at Sinre, his face begging the man to follow, but Sinre shook his head, slowly.

I’ll be fine.

The Jedi seemed to catch that, and looked even more concerned.

“You heard him, JK. Shoo.” Nem gestured, telekinetically swatting him back. Before Integral could comment, the Sith Lord faded into the wall again, as did silverfighter. Ktala simply led Sinre on.

Taking a breath, Sinre followed. Time to see what would happen next.
