I would like to thank Inty for creating such a great thread.
I registered on April 18, 2005. I was a little shy at first, and I was just looking for a group to belong to. That's when I found the SWC Jedi Trials, and requested to join on June 23, 2005, and I was accepted the next day.
On June 28, 2005, I began my training and completed it on July 6, 2005.
I was knighted just a few days later.
On August 5, 2005, I was promoted to the rank of Jedi Master, and thirteen days later, I became a Council Member.
I left the JT on September 10, 2005, and my flip flopping from dark to light began.
I started the Chewbacca Fanclub in the SWC, and I am Director of the Society of the Whils in the EUC. My dream is to someday have a Jedi order here on the Jedi Council Forums. Until my dream has a chance to come true, I am content to run my RPG, "The Forces of Light" in the SW RPF.
I have made many friends here, and I appreciate each and every one of them. Thanks to the mods and my fellow board members for accepting me, visual impairment and all, and for treating me just like any other person on the forums.
I have learned some valuable lessons over here, and being a member of these forums has changed my life.
A very big thank you to the person(s) who created the Jedi Council Forums. May this bright star continue to shine!

I have a dim memory of stumbling upon the JC right after TPM's release. I had just watched my first SW film and was completely hooked ... and eleven, which meant I was kind of not allowed to register. I actually think I did sign up anyway, but I didn't stick around and no longer remember what the username was, if any.
Fast forward to '01, I stumbled upon the JC again, registered again, posted a couple of times and ... didn't stick around that time either.
Then in '02 I found my way here again, and this time it stuck. At that time I was into reading fanfic on fanfiction.net (yes, The Pit) and one of my favourite authors had a JC link in her profile, along with a note saying that she updated here faster than ff.n. That was incentive enough to sign up and stick around.
From Fanfic I managed to find my way to the EUC and the EUDF (I think someone had lines in their sigs, or something)... hung around there for about a month, but I didn't really get the whole EU defending thing, so that didn't last long. I soon migrated over to the JCC and the Dark Lords, and well, the less said about that the better, but the Dark Lords RPG gave me my first taste of RPing and I enjoyed it enough to stick around the RPF after the game closed.
I played mostly in (Integrated) Balance of Power. Fantastic game, fantastic people, I made some great friends in there. Regrettably not all of 'em are still around, but such is the nature of the internet ... Anyway. IBOP was where I got to know Nemisis, greyjedi125 and Ktala, and one day I was bored and realized they were all in this Acolytes of Darkness shindig over here in the SWC, so I followed them over (without fully realizing what I was getting myself into ) and here I am.

JEDIGUNSHIP posted: I was first directed to theforce.net by a review in the newspaper about one of the fanfilms. After a while of looking at those films, I noticed that there were forums on the site as well. Not knowing what I was getting into, I registered, and now look where I am, over 1,900 posts later. Right after that, I joined the NJT and opened the Underappreciated Jedi Fan Club, and later the SWC Rebel Alliance. Now, the SWC is one of my four (was five last week) favorite boards.
You forgot to mention how i had to hand over my RP to you. That was a moment that will live on in history.

Well I first registered on September 7th of 2005. So I have been here for three years in total. At first my activities were...sparse to say the least. And I suppose in a way they are kinda still sparse. There are only a few places I post at which include the WNU forum, the SWC, the EUC, and the three fanfiction forums. Every now and again I may wonder into the costuming and props forum. Though there has been times that my presence here has disappeared, for reasons beyond my control, I always returned and am always welcomed back by those who have become my friends. What brought me here initially was half accident half on purpose. I had a random curious spark(which happens a very much lots of times) and decided to type in the adress bar "theforce.com" well that didn't workout so well and then I changed the com to net and that ended up leading me here in the end. I lurked for a couple weeks actually before registering. Since I have had fun and have made lots of friends. It has definitely become my favorite place to escape reality and the craziness of my life. I have loved it here and am sure I will continue to love it here as we go into our next chapter.
May the Force be with us all.

I first found the JC quite by accident. I was browsing for something about Obi-Wan or Darth Maul. I honestyl can't remember what exactly I was looking for anymore. At any rate, I was still rather new to forums in general, and I spent most of my time on a Final Fantasy/Anime forum that I was getting slightly bored of.
So, here I was, in 2005, searching for something Star Wars related when I stumbled upon this thread about Obi-Wan's and Darth Maul's fight. For whatever reason, I registered and decided to add my input. For a little while I hung mostly around the PT and OT forums. I wasn't too active, but I certainly stuck with it.
It wasn't long before I found the SWC. I fell in love with it, and have been primarily a patron of this forum ever since. However, what really kept me here was the SWC Jedi Trials and the RPF. My story is not too involved or exciting, but there it is. I've come and gone many times, but I am still around.

I found this thru another Member Petra Kenobi her and i rp online and talk alot we are both Star wars and star trek nerds so we were online and she told me about this site and i joined really recently and I enjoy talking to other fans and reading others stories of how Star wars connected with them.
i started rp and writing stories most of the ones i don't post here cause i just think they might not fly here. my fave are the Fan fic sections and the game sections i have not gotten brave enough to venture in the rp section yet cause i rp differentially then others on here.
So i joined the njo/legacy fan club and the star wars community and enjoy talking about the original trilogy and the new trilogy on here and just have fun in the game section. As well as discussing other sci fi shows i am a fan of on here as well as books.

I originally signed up in May '04, as you can see. I had an Anakin Skywalker from AOTC icon and I comfortably resided in the 3SA. I remember someone talking about Chewie being in the movie, and I made a troll n00b reply about Han being in it too, and Lucas showing him poo in his like training diapers.
Someone replied "Who the hell lets people post right after they sign up?"
I slowly got used to some people being really rude, and got even more used to some people actually being really great and up for an honest discussion without dismissing the idea completely. I actually love this message board.
GO JC! 10 more years comming!

I joined under another name in June of '06 and mostly visited the RPF. I branched when I got this username in February of '07. I have only just recently began visiting the SWC, but I post regularly in the RPF, EUC and YJCC. I post semi-regularly in the C&G and the Saga FanFic.

The SWC was one of my original regularities. This forum was quite commonplace in my post history until about mid-way through 2004. I was a regular in the Cloud City Cantina, where I posted with users like SecondBest, Ani_dala, JediMasterKitFisto, Evil_King_Wiggins, and more.
I came back in March to start recruiting for GSE and I've been a regular ever since.
