You have no idea how many times I walk past the Toy section in a store and my wife has to pull me away from the Lego Lamda-class shuttle. Almost every freaking time.
*sigh*
Maybe for Christmas ...

I went upstairs and actually did find my old notebook with tons of Lego instructions... but the SW ones weren't in there
I also found a rather heavily modified version of Luke's landspeeder, though

That's hard to do with LEGO's; they're meant to be built in one way. However, if you find the right pieces, then you can modify them all you want.

Exactly. Though all my modification stuff clashes badly, color-wise. It was hard enough getting the right pieces, I never bothered to waste too much time looking for the right color.
Also, theres a design-your-own Lego program available for free on the Lego website. Seems pretty cool, so far, but I haven't done much with it. Not sure how much is available in it, seems to be a good variety but I'm still getting used to the controls. Doesn't compare with the real thing, but still cool

Modify?
Oh dear...I have a lot to learn.
I had to take them apart because I'm moving. So I get to put them together again!!!

Will it take less time to put them together a second time?

Rogue...Jedi posted: I took a few pictures of my long-since completed sets, but as far as putting sets together I can either pull them apart and do them again (contingent on finding the old manuals, no easy task) or spend more money
You used to be able to get the instructions online from lego.com, but I can't find if you can anymore or not.

I don't see any instructions on there, but what annoys me is that the X-wing was apparently discontinued (listed as not available in the US). This is ridiculous.
I actually found a ton more of old manuals again today... but no SW ones.

LEGO's just seem to be going out of style these days; that's probably why you can't find the manuals for the older sets.

No wonder I can't find an X-wing.

Thanks for the link - it does have the X-wing manual on there. But I still want to know why it was discontinued.

No problem. I don't knwo why it was discontinued. The only possible explanation I can come up with is that they are lacking in the intelligence department....

It's the age of digital; LEGO's seem to be "old school" in terms of teechnology these days.
