Hey guys, Josh (Jaysar) here. I can't make it friday (I work from 8-5:30 and there's no way I can fly from Utica to Syracuse in time). Just to give you a heads up, saturdays are great for me when it comes to meetings. I can definitely make it on a Saturday, although I always wanted to try laser tag (my girlfriend used to be a pro back in her day). Hope to see you all soon (hopefully!!)
BTW, about the little Star Wars party this saturday, I checked with the guy in charge and he (sadly) gave me a thumbs-down, due to limited space and limited food. I tried, I really tried!

Hey kids! Just wanted to pop in and say that Syracuse is one of the three places in New York that I call home, having grown up there. I'm part of a group starting a fanforce right now in Albany.
Just wanted to ask if anything cool was going on next weekend, because I'll be in town and looking for something fun to do. Are people from other FF groups allowed to join in with other people's get togethers?

we absolutely encourage other chapters to do things together.
Thats what ff is all about.... reuniting the fans.
Not sure what next weekend brings but we could all figure out something to do I am sure.........any suggestions?
I know we really need a "real" meeting soon so we can settle on this summers schedule..... LOL

Had fun last night. Nice meeting you WebJedi. Nice seeing the rest of you again.
Earlier today I spent some time going through my garage finding interesting gadgets, nails, metal, etc. for lightsaber accessories. At some point I need to visit fabric stores to see what I can find that excites me for an outfit. Maybe I'll finally buy my daughter the sewing machine she's been wanting for a while.
Anyways, let me know when/where/what the next meeting is and I'll see what happens.

Cool, and thanks Strawbary. Any stuff appropriate for a Jedi? I figure we're going to be the reverse of the Star Wars movies. My son will be the bad guy and his old man will be the good guy. Instead of, "Luke. Join me and rule the universe at my side." It will be more like, "Hey old geezer. Why don't you ditch that hokey religion and be at my side while we beat up on the universe."
Or some such. Keep in mind that I consider myself a fan and not an actual fanatic, so I'm sure the top quote isn't really all that close to what it was in the movie.

I am proud to announce Webs has become immortal. We did a SW bingo back in the fall last year and his Jedi pic ended up in the schools yearbook today !!! ROFL
Go webs!!!!
Also, yes the fabric I have is for Jedi Costume. Very close the the material I made mine with. I have about 10 yards if someone needs any
