Fellow NorthEast FanForce members, I would like to draw your attention to this post over on the main NorthEast Regional boards. It includes all you need to know for the 3rd annual NorthEast FanForce Awards Ceremony.
In short, this year’s awards ceremony will be in Pittsburgh again right during the Pittsburgh Comicon - Saturday April 28th to be exact. And even if you can't attend in person, you can still participate by sending in nominations, photos for the slideshow and submissions for fan film and fan fiction awards.

When: Saturday, April 28, 2007
Doors open at 6 PM, buffet dinner is served from 6:30 to 8 PM
Awards show begins at 7:30 PM
Where: Monroeville Radisson Hotel, location of Pittsburgh Comicon
How much: $25 check/money order or $26 Paypal, payment information below
Admission price includes a lavish buffet, entertainment, and a door prize raffle ticket
Deadline for ticket purchase is April 20, 2007

Just wanted to share this info for those that don't get a newsletter from the Pittsburgh Con.
Anyone with a Grievous statue, get it ready to be signed. He is coming to Pittsburgh. I met him at C3 and seemed to be a very nice person.
Hey all you Comicon Crazies,
The Countdown to Pittsburgh Comicon 2007 is beginning with just days to go, but don't think just because the con is just around the corner that we are resting on our laurels. Oh-no, we still have plenty to announce. Just earlier today we added twenty new guests to the guest list, including:
• Current X-Factor artist, KHOI PHAM
and from STAR WARS:REVENGE OF THE SITH
• General Grievous, MATTHEW WOOD

With the addition of General Grievous, we've scheduled a Q & A involving all our Star Wars Guests, including Peter (Chewbacca) Mayhew and Wayne (Gov. Tarkin) Pygram. All the new events are as follows:

• FRIDAY 6:00 - GHOST HUNTING Take a look at paranormal phenomenon with GHOST HUNTER-Steve Gonsalves and from One Night at Prospect Place, Dan Gorman and Joe Dutt
• SATURDAY 12:00 - SPECIAL SCREENING: ONE NIGHT AT PROSPECT PLACE, a documentary about one of the U.S.'s most haunted mansions with director Dan Gorman
• SATURDAY 2:00 - CREATING COMICS WITH DAVE CAMPITI, super-agent Dave Campiti wants to help you make it in comics.
• SATURDAY 3:00 - TATTOO CONTEST sponsored by Jester Court Tattoo and the Star Wars Association of Pittsburgh, Cash Prizes.

The NE Awards Banquet is quickly approaching. This is just a friendly little reminder. If you are planning on coming (and we very much hope you are) and you haven't already done so, please send in your payment for the Banquet. (details about banquet and payment are below)
Comicon is in Pittsburgh, April 27 to 29. There are many, many SW events going on at ComiCon including panels on collecting, fanfilms, podcasting, academic themed exploration of the films, and costuming. . Friday night is a social with a showing of the film A Great Disturbance. There will be a tattoo contest on Saturday . There will be a Kids activity room all day Saturday. The Special SW Guest at ComiCon is Peter Mayhew, who will be at ComiCon at all three days.

FanForce Pittsburgh will be hosting a Friday night social for any FanForce members and their guests.
It will be held at the Radisson Hotel, which adjoins the Expomart where the Comicon is held, and will be in the Monroe 3 room. This room is one of the ones used for Star Wars panels.
Very casual. Snacks and beverages will be provided, and we'll be screening the very funny, professionally produced fanfilm, A Great Disturbance, tentatively to be given a personal introduction by the film's creators.
If you plan to attend, please pm me, TRADMIC so I can get an idea on how many people to expect.
Looking forward to meeting everyone!
