Removing Glue off of Action Figures?

Force be with you, might've been awhile since my last post.
I just got some hand-me-downs from a kid who did a class project using SW figures that didn't want them anymore(glad too, teacher was gonna throw them away, the madness!) Anyways, they're in great condition-save the fact that the kid's glued them like crazy. Jango still has glue on the bottom of his feet from tearing him out of the shoebox he was in-his guns are glued to his hand(which I don't mind-but they're broken.) A Jedi robe Luke was in is glued to the side of the box, and Luke's lightsaber is glued into his hand. I don't mind this too much, getting them for free and all-but it'd be nice to get the clear globs off of them(And the robe off without tear.) Help? Thanks in advance.

Try alcohol on them, dont use a paint thinner or gas it will mess them big time.
