This is a great strip that really epitomizes the two's differing philosophies. Years later there was a strip where Calvin poses a similar question and Hobbes replies with "a sandwich", the last panel showing Hobbes eating a sandwich, observing that got his wish, while a disgruntled Calvin looks on.

The snowmen are possibly my favourite recurring theme in C&H, they make me laugh every time.
