You have to see Memeneto...one of the best movies that has been out in the recent past. Plus, if you're gonna watch 5 Days to Midnight, I'd be interested to see what you think of camparisons.

Well, anyways, I hope you go rent it or something. I look forward to hearing what you have to say about these series coming up. You always have a pretty good handle on this Sci-Fi stuff. Are you goign to watch these series when they come out?

RE: Miniseries Discussion & News
Thank you. Yeah, although I don't get the Sci-Fi channel, I can usually get someone to tape it for me. Next up is 5DTM, which I'm getting taped, and I should have plenty of time to watch it. Earthsea, Farscape, Battlestar Galactica and Triangle are all going to be taped as well, and I'm looking forward to their release.

That's nice of the person that tapes this stuff for you. Not sure I would do that for a friend. Well, nonetheless, I look forward to what you have to say about 5DTM...nice acronym BTW.

It's my grandmother.
News from IGN:
John Orloff is one of the Emmy-nominated screenwriters of the acclaimed HBO miniseries Band of Brothers. He also penned Caesar for director Michael Mann and producer Tom Hanks. Orloff is currently adapting Ray Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles, and his long-gestating Soul of the Age now has Roland Emmerich attached to direct.

Caesar
was very good. In 2001 a miniseries of
Les Miserables
aired and even though the U.S. got a shortened version(only four hours long while Europe got six hours) is my favorite screen telling of Les Miz and so far the only one closest to the book.....and in 1990 a miniseries of
Phantom of the Opera
was shown. It was somewhat far off when staying true to the original subject but starred Burt Lancaster and was shot in the real Paris Opera House. Both Les Miz and Phantom are now on DVD if anyone's curious.

Anyone remember a bizarre sci-fi miniseries called "White Dwarf"?.
I saw parts of it years ago but would like to see it again. I've never seen it rerun and wonder if anybody has any information.
Peace,

RE: Miniseries Discussion & News
Yep:
In a distant future New York medical student Driscoll Rampart accomplishes his internship at Rusta, a rural planet that doesn't revolve around its axis and therefore is divided into contrasting halves of eternal day vs. eternal night. One is a Victorian-styled colony, the other a medieval kingdom. Both leave Rampart in a state of constant wonder, as he finds his way among humans and aliens, strange dreams and even stranger reality, a dark keep and a red sea, and more universal matters of war and peace, good and bad, love and hate and sickness and health.
Cast overview, first billed only:
Paul Winfield .... Dr. Akada
Neal McDonough .... Dr. Driscoll Rampart
Ele Keats .... Princess Ariel (Joist's daughter)
Giuseppe Andrews .... Never the Shifter aka Doug (as Joey Andrews)

That sounds ridiculously weird. It was called White Dwarf? Do you think you could post the 5 Days cast like you did for that one? Thanks.

RE: Miniseries Discussion & News
The latest SciFi magazine has several interesting articles. One is on the upcoming Farscape miniseries, explaining some things about the plot. There's also a lengthly article on a "limited" series called 4400, about 4400 people reappearing after vanishing over the course of history. Some have strange powers, and the series involved homeland security somehow. There's also a tidbit about the Triangle mini series.
