It did seem...odd. And we sort of skip 15 years or so to that scene. My other concern was that Paul Dano wasn't up to the job of being in the same frame as Day-Lewis.

But Paul Dano was good though. I remember being really creeped out by Elin Sunday when I saw There Will Be Blood in theatres.

I watched the new King Kong on TBS last night. It is good, but has too many scenes that dragged on longer than necessary. Plus, the little minor plotline with Jimmy is random and ridiculous. That should not even exist. Overall, though, pretty decent.

Casino Royale.
Liked it... up until.... SPOILERS.... when they kill Le Chiffre. After that the movie drops off DRAMATICALLY; as in like: this is where the movie really should have ended.
Other thing about it is that I wished they kept up more of the tension of the poker-game/outside-of the game bit, but that was kept completely short, which was a bit dissapointing.

The Right Stuff. Fantastic film about the Mercury Astronauts, seven high tech cowboys with nerves of steel and balls of brass.

Agreed. The idea was good, but the execution was bad.
Just finished Enemy at the Gates. Great sniper movie.
