There Will Be Blood-Remember last year when Lebron James singlehandedly willed the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals. He was fantatsic though the supporting cast around him was just serviceable. That's how I felt about this movie. DDL was the only actor that could have saved this material. I thought it was overwrought overlong and with anyone else leading the way it would have been a terrible film. But I think it's worth seeing just for his performance alone.

Night at the Museum-the second time I've ever seen it since opening day in theaters
Star Trek III: Search for Spock-pretty good; glad that Spock came back to life, but I wasn't happy with the language
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home-better than 3; the only thing i really disliked was the finger put in there, but Spock was hilarious;
"Are you sure you won't change your mind?"
"Now why would I want to do a thing like that?" haha.

The Darjeeling Limited
Nothing remarkable, but it was a fun, enjoyable movie.

Because there are no story-book romances, no fairy-tale endings. So before you run out and change the world, ask yourself, "What do you really want?" Because life... is not a movie. Everyone lies. Good guys lose. And love... does not conquer all.

Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle.
It's a movie that you shouldn't actually like but you laugh your head off anyway. And Niel Patrick Harris is hilarious.

Batman: The Animated Series, Vol. 1
One of the finest animated things ever created. It's utterly dark and utterly psychologically driven. This first set of 28 episodes has some real masterpieces here: the two parters, Two Face and Feat of Clay, both tragic, grim and hopeless origin stories; Joker's Favor, probably the funniest ep of the whole series and the one that introduces Harley Quinn and has plot twists galore; It's Never Too Late, the tale of a gangland mob boss' redemption; Dreams in Darkness, the one and only great Scarecrow episode with some absolutely fantastic hallucination sequences; Vendetta, a puzzling mystery that forces Batman and Harvey Bullock to come to terms with each other; Return of the Gray Ghost, featuring Adam West as an over the hill actor famous for playing the titular character. It's amazing how complex some of these stories are, given the twenty minute run time of the episodes. It's even more amazing how some of the characters are developed. Mad Hatter becomes a truly tragic figure in Mad as a Hatter, Clayface becomes an epic monster in Feat of Clay and Mr. Freeze becomes a figure of righteous indignation and pain in Heart of Ice. This is, in many ways, the definitive Batman.

AvP: Requiem. Positively awful. AvP is Citizen Kane compared to this.

Not a new movie, but I just watched it for the first time the other night...
John Carpenter's
THEY LIVE
I gotta say I loved the hell outta this movie. Yeah, sure it's campy and covered in cheese, but I think it holds up pretty well in today's world. The message really rang true with me, being an American coping under the Bush regime, about control and conformism... It has now become one of my favorite flicks.
Not to mention all the great quotes.
"I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum." - Nada
"Brother, life's a bitch... and she's back in heat." - Nada
"You, you're ok. This one, real ******* ugly." - Nada
The best.

What? What are you talking about? Are you crazy, that flick was so.... Oh wait, yeah, it was total crap.
Here's my impression of that flick.
Slow and boring, mindless conversation that has nothing to do with anything...For an hour or so.
Bang! kick ass action and violence.
Then repeat.
Some people believe that has "Grindhouse" been released with Rodriguez's Planet Terror been the first one show, more people probably would've gone and seen it...
Apparently many people got up and left after having to sit through Deathproof. I can't imagine why...
