THE GUARDIAN starring Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher.
I'm not a big fan of either, but I thought I'd try this. It's a kind of traditional "training to become a hero movie", some of it was somewhat predictable but I enjoyed it nevertheless. It did accomplish it's goal of bringing into sharp focus how brave and necessary the Coast Guard is...heck I've never even had any idea what they do, and I got a good education after seeing this film. I was impressed. They've got guts and courage, no doubt about it.
Costner did a pretty good job. He was solid, if a little laconic.
But Kutcher surprised me. I've never been a fan of his, in fact I loathed the guy. Had a very low opinion of him. However, he had a few really good scenes in this film, he even had a moment or two where I thought he was GREAT. My main criticism of him is not so much that he's a bad actor, it's that he's inconsistent! It's like some days he comes to the set ready to nail it and other days he phones it in. He definitely doesn't exactly "melt" into the character. He is especially bad in any scene with a beautiful woman, it's as if all his hormones go wild and he forgets he's playing a character, it's like hhhhheeeereee's Ashton proving what a stud he is. Still, he's a lot more promising than I thought, so the jury is still out. Perhaps he'll improve with age.

The Chronicles of Narnia:Prince Caspian. Awesome movie and a great follow-up to The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.

er... well , it's David Lynch which says it all really , it was most like Mullholland Drive but not as good and it was a very long 3 hours.

I saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull again. It wasn't any better than the first time I viewed it.

 I'm sorry, but that was just a complete waste of two hours. Afterwards, I went home and watched The Last Crusade.  The difference was unbelievable.
