I just didn't exactly like all of the suddenly convient character drops in Locke's past and how he doesn't really recall/remember them, make note of it, or say anything.
I figured Alpert and that incident with him as a child, and then when he saw him in S3, it'd be like, "Oh **** son, your that guy from my childhood.... but hey... uhh.... why don't you age?"

I've thought about that as well, but I don't think it's much of an issue. Can we really expect someone to remember every little detail of their life from when they were five? It's perfectly reasonable to assume Locke just forgot about it, because it's natural. Few people have perfect memories, especially at that age.

This is slightly different however.
How many people at the age of 5, get visited by a weird man who performs a test on them and then abruptly states that they failed?

Children tend to forget things they don't understand, as Locke clearly didn't. A guy showed up, asked him some weird questions, got mad and left. What child would understand that?

The question becomes: Who is Richard looking for the reincarnation of? Is it Jacob? That would mean, obviously, that Jacob is dead.

What, that Jacob is dead or that Richard is looking for the reincarnation of Jacob?

You're just finding little things to make inconsistencies out of, when there are none.
I have no memories from before I was 6. Plenty of people don't. It's not that big a deal.

the most baffling aspect of this ep was Horace saying he'd been dead for 12 years , that would put the purge 4 years after Danielle arrived .

This is excellent news. Now, I'm correct in saying that the rest of the season will be split up into three more one hour episodes over the next three weeks, right?

Next week will be part I of the season finale. Then we will skip a week, and the next week parts II and III will be shown on the same night.
