I sometimes wonder how the show would be different if say Eko's actor (forget his name) didn't wish to be written off the show.
My understanding is that Eko was always meant to only be around for a season or two. When he requested to leave the show, they just made it happen faster.

Yeah; Frank doesn't really have any "hook" to the show so far other than being the pilot, and the guy who was supposed to be flying 815.
He is possibly expendable.
I agree....his part of the story in episode 2 has been told and dealt with.....he will die I feel by season's end.

Ive heard that his role may be getting beefed up over the coming weeks, but whether those rumors will stretch into next season I dont know.

I won't read them either. I was accidentally spoiled about Alpert being present during Locke's childhood, so I'll be staying away from spoilers for the rest.

Darkufo has posted the highlights of tonights episode:
only highlight if you wanna know what happens tonight!
-Flashforwards feature the O6 right after getting off the island.
-Jacks Mom, Hurleys parents, Suns parents, and Nadia greet them
-Sun buys out half of her fathers company and tells him she blames him and someone else for Jins "death"
-Theres and island themed party at Hurleys house and he finds out his dad restored that old car, but when he gets in the numbers are on the odometer or something.
-Jack and Kate head after the chopper and on the way see Sawyer and Miles and Kate takes Aaron back to camp
-Sayid returns with the raft and it leaves with Faraday, Jin and Sun while Sayid and Kate go after Jack only to be captured by the others.
-the first group on the raft reaches the boat where they find out a bomb is on it.
-Jack and Sawyer reach the copter where Keamy and his men are gone but have left frank handcuffed to the chopper, Jack all ready to take off when Sawyer tells hime Hurleys still with Locke and Ben, theyre gonna go get him.
-Locke ben and Hurley reach the orchid which will help them move the island. It appears to be a greenhouse, but Ben tell Locke theres an elevator inside to the real station. Ben has Locke go in while Ben deals with Keamy and his men who are coming however they knock Ben out and thats apparently how it ends.
