I think Daniel's boat got transported along with the island, otherwise he would have come across the chopper's raft.

I'm gonna have to watch The Shape of Things to Come again, since Ben apparently time-traveled 9-10 months into the future when he turned the frozen donkey wheel.

Yeah the freighter was nowhere to be found so Daniel and possibly alive Jin were transported with everyone on the island. Which is btw I think

Juliet and Sawyer on the beach dont know how close it is to the survivivors camp
Rose Bernard Miles and Charlotte at the survivors camp
Claire at Jacobs cabin, although that Kristin lady at E! said Claire's contract has been messed with so shell be a guest star in season 5 but a regular again in season 6
Locke and the Others in the Jungle
And Daniel and Jin(?) in the ocean a couple miles away.

Agree with everyone who said that it was a great finale. Still processing most of it and still reeling from poor Jin getting caught in the explosion. Im hoping that he's still alive but I really dont think so.

Gotta say that I was shocked that Desmond reunited with Penny. Nice swerve there, especially since I wasnt expecting that reunion until the end of the series at the earliest. Maybe now that gives hope that Jin is still alive somehow, setting the stage for a huge Kleenex moment with Sun in, say, season 6.

As far as what next season holds, Im guessing that we'll probably get a few more flashforwards (or would they now be flashbacks ?) of the O6 and the three years between leaving and Locke's death as well as some more stuff with Sayid and Ben trying to get the band back together. And maybe some flashbacks for Faraday, Miles and Charlotte.

He's playing an African-American character who has essentially been defined primarily as an inadequate father, and whose whole character arc was about trying to rebuild a relationship with his son. As it stands right now, Michael is the primary visible African-American male character in the series, and at the end of the day, the core concept in his characterization is that he's a failure as a father and was unable to maintain a relationship with his son.

The issues of African-American masculinity, fatherhood, and media portrayals of same are HUGE cultural and political issues in the US, and I think it's great that Lost jumped right into that issue head-on, but if this is where the story ends for Michael and Walt, it's, well... I can see why Perrineau would have an issue with it, let's just put it that way.

Tssss Harold Perrineu just annoyed me, sorry but to me some of his comments just seem bitter cause he was written off. He got to die saving people, same as Charlie, and got to redeem himself for betraying everyone. I dont see what his big problem is rolling_eyes

So, OK.

The Island won't take the O6 back unless they all come back together - including the body of the late John Locke. Let's throw this out there:

1) Oceanic 815 had the body of Christian Shephard aboard
2) Christian Shephard, in life, was a kind of directionless, washed-up drunk prone to keeping secrets and disappearing for long periods of time, which is kind of like O6 flashforward Jack.
3) Flight 815 also had Cindy the stewardess aboard, who may have been recruited by the Others while on the Island, but who also could have been an Other to begin with, infiltrating the plane
4) Flight 815 also had Libby aboard, and Libby may have had ties to Widmore, or Dharma, or the Others
5) Richard Alpert gave young Locke the test that Tibetan monks use to determine whether or not someone is a reincarnated Dalai Lama or Panchen Lama. Clearly, reincarnation may be on the table here and Locke may be someone important reincarnated.
6) Similarly, Aaron appears to have been chosen to go on the plane and seems to have a weird destiny tied up with the Island.

What if there was a previous group of visitors to the Island who left:

1) Christian Shephard
2) Cindy
3) Libby
4) Someone who died and was reincarnated as Aaron or Locke

And once they were all on the plane together, the Island manipulated probability and circumstances to bring them all back?

I wonder, does this mean that Walt has to return to the island too?

I wouldn't be surprised if Walt, Desmond, and Lapidus all have to come back, too.

Yeah I really hope Walts appearance in the finale was setting him up to be more prominent. Still wanna find out hwat the heck was up with him in season 2. Thing is unless they filmed secret scenes years ago they cant have flashbacks of it

I think that Desmond will definitely have to come back, if only so Ben can fulfill his promise to Widmore of killing Penny.

Another thing I was wondering about, too : Do we know how many castaways were on the freighter when it blew up ? Faraday made what, two or three trips ? Assuming that there were at least five or six people in the raft each time then close to fifteen to twenty of the castaways probably died, which is almost half of the entire group, right ? If not, at least ten are probably dead at the very least.

No one responded to me earlier, so I'll say it again:

I don't think this is the first time we've seen the island move. Go back and watch Live Together, Die Alone. Perhaps Desmond turning the failsafe key moved the island as well?

Maybe, and perhaps that was how Penny's people in the Arctic or wherever they were were able to get a reading on the island.
