Can someone tell me more about Appleseed? I'm interested in watching it but a quick look on that anime site came up with lots of different things. Which order does it go in and where should I start?

Finished with Gungrave, meh, I liked the series better when it didn't feature super powered, zombie/frankensteins and human transforming in super creatures. I admit it wasn't bad but now it feels like a wasted potential.

1. Appleseed movie
2. Appleseed Ex Machina
And the 80s OVA also called Appleseed is a different adaptation, so its not related to the two movies.

Mushi-Shi is awesome, heartwarming, simple, deep, and depressing all at the same time.

Indeed. I suggest Kino no Tabi if you haven't seen it, its really similar to Mushi-shi.

Yeah, I've seen Kino no Tabi. My Anime Club marathoned it one weekend a few years ago. Is it sad though that almost every episode of Mushi-Shi I watch, I've watched 14 so far, I can't help but try to think of ways of incorporating something like that into my D&D campaign?
On a totally unrelated note: Wow, is anyone watching Gundam 00? So far it has completely washed the bad taste of Destiny out of my mouth and is actually making me reconsider even SEED's place in my favorites list. Spoilers follow for 23 Wow, I think Tomino must've come back or something because EVERYONE is dieing. And it's all so freaking epic. Also, yay for NON Gundams actually scoring kills and being threats again. I'm tired of Gundams being the end all-be all for these series. October can't come fast enough.

*Never played D&D* Uhm no?
If you've seen Kino no Tabi that means that I've run out of anime for suggestions that are similar to Mushi-shi.

The show was kind of uneven (some interesting, some boring episodes) but the last few episodes were outstanding, and it had a classic Gundam feel to it from the fights (F91 afterimage ftw!) to the way the characters died (Lockon ).
However I'm not looking forward to the season break or first series ending. Even though its been a year, I still have bad memories from Code Geass (I've waited three months for the worst cliffhanger ever?!) Luckily as you said the second series start in October and not a year from now.
Anyway to sum it great stuff can't wait to see more ^^

H20's last episode annoyed the hell out of me. Hopefully the rest of the season endings won't suck as much

I'll probably be watching the CLAMP Double Feature (the Tsubasa and xxxHolic movies) tomorrow night. Can't wait. Two of my favorite manga series.

I finally started watching KimiKiss (mainly because Air and Kashimashi started boring the hell out of me), and it's pretty good so far.
Kimiaru 11 was awesomely funny (Zetsubou shita ftw ).

Kimiaru uses Zetsubou shita? Really? If so I need to catch up then, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei ftw.

Of the two series ending I've seen so far: Clannad and Kimikiss. Well I won't spoil Kimikiss, not yet anyway but I thought the Clannad ending was... acceptable. Overall it was an okay show but I didn't like the harem aspect much. Sunohara was hilarious though basically the only reason why I kept watching it.
Anyway I saw the Clannad movie, much better then the series. ^^ Although I realise now that there really needs to be a second Clannad season.

The Clannad finisher wasn't really a finisher though It sucked. The "extra" episode looks good though, Sunohara ftw
Kimikiss, well, I just reached 12, so I can't comment yet.
Haven't seen the Clannad movie, but I have heard speculation of a 13 episode second series. Needs more Fuko and Kotomi
And yea, Kimiaru started throwing in loads of references (probably got annoyed that people were moaning about too much fanservice and not enough plot). They've referenced just about everything now, I think. There were about 5 or 6 references in Episode 11, but Zetsubou shita was the only one I got (mainly because I still have major catching up to do on lots of stuff ).
Speaking of ZokSayZetSen, what happened to the subs?

Did you just spent the entire night watching every kimikiss episode? Anyway what part of the series annoyed you?

And this is where we differ, I loathed Kotomi and I don't even care if Mamiko Noto voices her. I almost considered quitting Clannad during her uninteresting arc.

Anonymous are currently subbing them, they're not as good as a.f.k. though but a.f.k. can be notoriously slow (well to be fair Zetsubou Sensei is a difficult anime to sub)

Yep. Well, spent the last two nights. First night I got up to episode 9, then finished it last night And just the fact that right at the end, Kouichi dropped Hoshino. Poor timing, and annoying considering I was supporting them. I was glad about Kazuki/Futami, but Kouichi/Mao annoyed the hell out of me
I was also slightly annoyed that Nana and Naru didn't get together
As for Kotomi, I just thought she was hilarious. The vacant scatterbrained genius with no skill on the violin... just amused the hell out of me
And who're Anonymous? I haven't seen them on Baka, so I assumed since a.f.k took an extended break, no one was doing it

Kouichi/Mao was an obvious pairing though, and they were hinting at it since the entire Dog of Flanders book thing way back in the early episodes.
I did feel sorry for Hoshino though, out of all the 'losers' she seemed really lonely at the end.

Good to see I'm not the only one who got lesbian vibes from the udon girls.

They're a group which tends to pick up shows that aren't subbed. Their versions are watchable and enjoyable but they don't do a thorough job as a.f.k. e.g. don't mentioning the references and not translating all the text etc.
Having said that episode 7 and 8 were great, WTH and funny at same time. Good stuff.
