BONES IS MAKING AN EUREKA 7 MOVIE.
*cough*
Yes, moving on. Kurenai, yeh I admit the character design isn't the best (that guy also worked on Rozen Maiden and yet it looks so different) but I've already gotten used to it thanks to Red Garden (the last interesting Gonzo anime so far ) still the set up was interesting and I'll definitely check out the second episode.
I also saw the first episode of ToLove-Ru, which didn't really interest me what so ever. I had the same reaction when I saw the first episode of Kanokan which is a mindless fan service show, with a shoutacon appealing main character.
And as last the first episode of Itazura na Kiss was decent, seems like a typical shoujo so far.

Well its only redeeming quality is that Mamiko Noto is voicing the shoutacon boy, then again she isn't really good at doing male voices.

I watched it and ItaKiss, and I thought Kanokon was hilarious, and ItaKiss was pretty useless. Only shoujo I'm looking forward to is Special A

I saw the first episode of Special A (decent, although different I'd rate it the same as Itakiss), Soul Eater (interesting so far, love the background art), Zettai Karen Children (from the makers of Hayate, might turn interesting it also reminds me a bit of Inukami, same type of bad guys at least) and Blassreiter (ugh, its Gonzo, do I need to say more )
As for non weekly shows, I've finished with Gunbuster and its sequel Diebuster. Both were great, I liked Gunbuster slightly better but Diebuster had some outstanding animation (and I can definitely see where Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann got its style from).
I also just finished with Dog of Flanders movie, what a cruel, cruel end for Nelo.

I saw Special A and thought it was hilarious
I also saw Vampire Knight, and thought the first half was pretty good, then it got too moody/emo/pointless. I'm hoping it goes back to the more fun side

Haven't seen Vampire Knight yet.

The only first episode that's hilarious so far is The Tower of Druaga, I haven't laughed out loud for a while.
Its made by Gonzo though so I have to be cautious in case turns into nothingness.

So...any idea how many episodes that Macross Frontier is slated for? Because...at the moment, I'm leaning towards it being my mecha fix for a while. Partly because it is Macross and partly because I realized I'm still "NOT SURE IF WANT" about Code Geass's "JAPAN BANZAI FOREVER! AMERICA BAD!" opening.

God bless America
To answer your question I believe Macross F will have 50 episodes.

Talking of Macross, what's the order to watch it in? I have Macross Plus (which is awesome) and I'd like to watch the other series but I'm lost and confused.
Mind Game was awesome, I love it.
Both Appleseed films were good.
I've now seen GitS2, which I liked. I'm not sure how they get from the end of GitS2 to the beginning of GitS:SAC1 though, I was hoping it'd be in GitS2 but it wasn't.

I would edit my post to say this, but I've run out of time. I've just had word that my copies of With The Light volumes one and two are on their way.

As far as mindless ecchi series go, Kamen no Maid Guy certainly stands out and is far more amusing then Kiamaru and Kanokon.
moosemousse posted: Talking of Macross, what's the order to watch it in? I have Macross Plus (which is awesome) and I'd like to watch the other series but I'm lost and confused.
Although I haven't seen all of them the order is:
Macross Zero (OVA)
Super Dimensional Fortress Macross (TV)
Macross Flashback 2012 (Movie) (alternative retelling of SDF Macross)
Macross Plus (OVA)
Macross 7 (TV)
Macross 7 Encore (OVA)
Macross 7 Movie (Movie)
Macross 7 Dynamite (OVA)
Macross Frontier (TV)
Macross Frontier and SDF Macross are the two best entry points IMO. Both Zero and Macross 7 have characters from SDF Macross so it kind of make more sense if you watch them after SDF Macross.
There's also Macross 2, but its an alternative universe so you can ignore it. moosemousse posted: Mind Game was awesome, I love it.

Glad you enjoyed Mind Game, its a really good movie. As for GitS2, basically GitS and GitS2:I are in a separate universe compared to the TV series GitS:SAC, GitS:SAC 2nd GIG and the movie GitS:SAC SSS .

Excellent, thanks. It looks like Macross will keep be occupied for quite some time. You forgot the Macross Plus Movie though, but it's just a retelling of the OVA but with a few differences. I have the boxed set which has both, I really recommend watching both as there are bits in each that aren't in the other.
As for GitS, really? I guess I just assumed they were the same as they had the same characters and stuff.
