Has anyone been keeping up with the show? Andy is just a brillant character, I love his interaction with Michael.

I haven't seen the British version yet, but the U.S. version only seems to get better with time, kind of like Seinfeld did. I think it takes watching a few episodes to really start to appreciate the subtle humor (or not so subtle) of each character, but once you are into it the show is hilarious.

Due to the fact that I just recently started getting CBS, NBC, and CW for the first time in five or so years, I'd never ever heard of The Office until about three weeks ago when one episode of it caused me to immediately jump on the bandwagon. It seems to be a pretty cool show, all in all. Different, unmediocre, but that's a good thing.

I honestly love both versions of this show but the third season of the US series has been very spotty. There's been good, but also a lot of bad in comparison to what's come before. The writing has become alarmingly lazy at times.

Woah, an Office Thread.
I watched the UK show on DVD, but Ive recently become hooked to the US version. Granted Channel 10 here in Aus only showed the first season, so Ive been grabbing it where I can. The show really takes off in the 2nd season and is easily my favourite show at the moment. The Ben Franklin episode this week had me in stitches
"Is this stripper Hot?"
"Reply, Kinda"
Where was Andy this week?

I was a huge fan of the BBC "The Office", so when the American version came out I was skeptical.
However, after seeing both the 1st and 2nd seasons of the US version of "The Office" on DVD, I have to say the US version is much, much funnier than the UK version.
Michael Scott (Steve Carrell) is hilarious with his deadpan deliveries, and Dwight Schrute is as funny, if not funnier than Scott.
The show is also very quotable, which is a lot of it's appeal.
I have not seen any of the 3rd season since I don't watch TV - I will wait for the DVD set.

That was great. Though, I think sometimes they overplay the Michael Scott character a bit too much.

We'll i havn't see a full episode of the NBC office but I just watch a butt load of highlights. I gotta say that the only one that really made me laugh was the dementors comment that Prison Mike said. If my memory servs me correct, I think that episode was written by the BBC guys.
I want to check out the american one but I'm not sure if I can stand Steven Carrell for that long. He overacts the character most of the time.

I really liked last week's episode. Jim convincing Dwight that he was a vampire was great. And Michael at the end with Pam was a nice little moment.

Yeah, I loved the last scene with Pam's simple painting of the building making Michael feel better about Dunder Mifflin. And in turn him making Pam feel better about her art after it got dissed by Oscar and his boyfriend. Very sweet. The vampire prank was great and a nice nod to the episode's director, Joss Whedon(creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer)!
