One of the greatest flicks ever made... It's a damn shame about Bruce and Brandon.

This film belongs to Lee. It made him a worldwide superstar. For John Saxon, Jim Kelly & director Robert Clouse this is the highlight of their careers. Just about every martial artist from HK is in this pic but you'll need a good eye to spot many of them. Lee gave his all on this movie & its a shame he never got a chance to see just how influential it would be. He died 3 weeks before it was released.

Next: "Mean Streets" (1973)
USA 110 min. Colour
Director: Martin Scorsese
Producer: Martin Scorsese et al.
Screenplay: Mardik Martin, Martin Scorsese
Photography: Kent L. Wakeford
Music: Non-original music.
Cast: Robert De Niro, Harvey Keitel, Amy Robinson, Richard Romanus, David Carradine
In a ferocious burst of energy, Scorsese makes his breakthrough movie. The young Robert De Niro has perhaps his best role; as does Keitel. Don't miss it.

I didn't know Christopher Lee was in Wicker Man! Now I'll have to get around to watching it.

It's definitely an effective and profoundly disturbing film. I wouldn't say it's for everyone though. Several of my friends who love and have no problems with things like 28 Days Later and Resident Evil, I'm not speaking of the films here, could barely watch the ending.

To judge from what I've heard, the remake is terrible.

I'm pretty sure the remake could appear on the other films list currently going on. Though it has some great unintended comedy.

Is Nick Cage really dressed as a bear? Or is that a canard?

Photography: Pierre-William Glenn
Music: Georges Delarue

Truffaut's film about film-making, and the family feeling--good and bad--that can develop in a film crew, even one making a bad movie.

I love this movie...and you can tell how much Truffaut loved the moviemaking process by watching it. The scene with the cat, and the relief and applause when if finally completes it's scene successfully, is the kind of thing that goes on on every film set in the world, year round, regardless of country/language/budget. Thank god, another shot done! Next set up please!
And I love the line, THE FILM IS KING!
