It takes a few listens to really connect with the songs, but on the whole they are awesome.

I still prefer BSSM though, RHCP at their best.

Now I like the Chilli Peppers, but I like the more mellow sound as oppossed to the funk sound.

I think By The Way is hands down there best album. I honestly love every song.

Is S.A. more like BTW or does it go back to some of that funk rock style?

Its a good mix of both. There are alot of songs that are in the same vein as Dani California, but there are also a goodly amount of mellow tracks, especially on the second disc.

Slow Cheetah is a perfect mellow song, as is Stadium Arcadium itself.

I just got Stadium Arcadium, and I'm very impressed. Double albums have the tendency to be bloated, and while this has a fair bit of filler, it's a fantastic attempt with some really, really solid songs and a handful of great ones. After the highly disapointing By the Way, I wasn't expecting much, but this is a great surprise!

Wet Sand is the pinnacle of awesomeness. The chorus and Anthony's scream into the guitar solo give me chills!

Yea, I think that Wet Sand is my favorite song thus far. Im also really liking Snow (Hey Oh), Slow Cheetah and Desecration Smile.

Oh, and I also got tickets to their show at the Continental Airlines Arena. Unfortunately its not until October, but its about five days before my BDay so it'll make an awesome early gift. cool

LOVE this album, AND I'm going to see them in Philly in October! This is a good month for RHCP fans. I still prefer BSSM, but this is definitely one of their better efforts.

Love the Chili Peppers and consider them one of my fave bands of all time.

My reviews of each album:

Self Titled (Debut)
: Has a couple fun rockers on there but overall I feel its their weakest album.

Freaky Styley
: Improvement over the debut and has some funky stuff . I dig Jungle Man, Catholic School Girls Rule and Hollywood the most.

Uplift Mofo Party Plan: Good album with some highlights: Fight Like A Brave, Behind the Sun to name a couple.

Mother's Milk: Great album with lots of cool songs: Goodtime Boys, Subway to Venus, Sexy Mexican Maid and course their great cover of Stevie Wonder's Higher Ground.

BloodSugarSexMagik
: Their classic album and one of the best records of the 90's. Every song is terrific and I consider it one of my fave albums of all time.

One Hot Minute: I actually enjoy this generally fan-maligned album. Its got some great tracks on it like: Warped, Airplane, My Friends, and Transcending. While the lack of the trademark Peppers sound and guitarist,Frusciante's absence is off-putting, I don't feel the album is bad and deserves another look.

Californication: Great album with lot's of catchy songs. Though I've gotten a bit tired of some of the songs due to overexposure.

By The Way
: Good effort with some great songs but for me, the album doesn't hold up to repeated listenings.

Looking forward to hearing the new album sooon. I liked the Dani California song.

Not official albums (But interesting to check out):

Out in L.A.
: An import album of all their b-sides, rarites and such from their 80's period.

Beyond the Covers
: A Compilation album of all the cover songs from their albums and live performances.

What Hits?: Thier best of... album chronicling from their debut to Mother's Milk. It has Show Me Your Soul, a terrific song from the Pretty Woman soundtrack.

I saw the Peppers live in Oakland, CA for the album's tour. That was back in Oct. '03, I believe. They were awesome live and played a lot of their signature songs. The Flaming Lips (another great band) also opened.

So far I'm REALLY digging Snow ((Hey Oh)), Stadium Arcadium, Wet Sand, Desecration Smile, and Death of a Martian. It's a fantastic listen all around though, Jupiter being the superior of the two disks IMO. I can listen to that and just melt into the music.
