I think Christopher Nolan did a great job of casting BATMAN BEGINS
so I'm sure he knows what he's doing casting Heath. Heath is one of
the most successful actors of his age bracket, he's done all kinds of roles,
he was really good in a not so good movie, THE BROTHERS GRIMM, and most important
of all to Warner Brothers, he sells tickets, he's one more bankable name for the
project.
He's versatile...keep in mind, at almost the same time BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN
came out with him playing a taciturn gay cowboy in a drama, CASANOVA came out with him
playing one of the world's great straight lovers in a light romantic comedy. And he
was believable in both films. That's range.
Interesting sidenote, since someone brought up Hugo Weaving, Heath and Hugo share the same birthday according to IMDB, April 4th. It means nothing, it's just a cool piece of trivia.

At the title. This would have worked for me if this was the first film in the new series, but IMO the sequel should have been 'Batman Continues' to flow with the whole Batman 'Begins' title. Although the studio execs. may want have a fresh title so that more movie -goers can jump on the bandwagon.
On a side note, this makes me wonder what the third one will be called.
'Caped Crusader' anyone?

Batman Continues? Seriously? That was a joke title that David Goyer laughed at.

Twas I. I really think he'd be able to do something different and original with Two-Face. Make-up can change his whole look (Sin City), and he's pretty versatile.
Okay, so I jsut said what anyone would have, but still, I think he's a good candidate.
Surely you don't lump in Hammil with the rest of the actors who've played joker? For if you do, you are quite mistaken.
No. Voice acting is harder. The trick is to overact, but without hamming it up. Still, though, is anyone else sick of insane cackling?

Del Toro would be great but he's got a full plate for the next 10 years. Two huge scale films -Che Guevara and The Wolfman, and in an example life imitating art imitating life ( from the show Entourage ) its been reported that a studio is coming at him hard to play Pablo Escobar.

Batman Ends sequel? Overall, I wasn't really that impressed with Batman Begins. The car was cool - but, in light of everything out this year (meaning movies) this film almost feels like a masterpiece.

It's not like Batman Continues is a stretch considering that we have titles like 'Batman Forever', 'Batman and Robin', and 'Batman Begins'. All of them are pretty stupid.
Good thing we don't have GL naming them....Attack of the Bat!

The car in BB was one of the only things I disliked. I like it has a sports car type thing much better.

Only if the movies are any good. I have faith in DK and Hellboy. Don't know much about the Iron Man project, though. As for Wolverine, they better make sure they do a better job than X3

Not unless they plan on cutting out the rape and shooting of Barbara Gordan, who is an infant in Batman Begins.
