"Big Brother 8"
"Let's face it — Big Brother: All-Stars was lame. It was basically a rerun of BB6 with strategy sessions ad nauseam between Howie, Janelle, James, and Kaysar (who — for a "genius" — sure got outwitted a lot), featured a super-lame twist (the coup d'état), and was won by a thirtysomething white rapper who refers to himself as "Boogie." But no matter — 'cause a new crew of dolts is ready to get their Chen on. And no doubt there will be some hilariously inane new theme (Project DNA! The X-Factor!) to keep us in stitches while we fast-forward through food competitions. Welcome, houseguests! — Dalton Ross"

That's tonight then? Thank you, Zaz; the commercials all refused to say when it was on.
It's not a great show, but it's pretty good simple fun. The actor who plays the sheriff has nice charisma. I hope this season can spice up the episodes a bit more from the usual "science experiment goes wrong of the week" that Season 1 tended to suffer from. I realize that's kind of the concept of the show, but there's also espionage and mystery elements they could play up on occassion.

"Hate Gordon Ramsay's cocky, rude, F-bombing ways on Hell's Kitchen? Good, then you'll adore them on this show (a U.S. version comes to Fox this fall). Why? Because unlike the clueless tyros in Hell, Nightmares is all about pros — restaurateurs on the verge of failure — and they need a kick in the arse. Take Laurence, who's daft, broke, and serves dishes like prawns in chocolate sauce. Can Ramsay help the defiant cook? Probably, but it's almost beside the point when these iffy dining outings make for such fantastic TV."
A good many internet sites count the number of times he uses the F-word.

"Three seasons into (Emmy-nominated) Chicken's run, it's a wonder there are any childhood icons left for the claymation spoof-a-thon to exploit. But you know Transformers couldn't go by without some ribbing (guess we all thought that Decepticon turning into a boom box was laughable). Dora the Explorer, Speedy Gonzales, and Superman, however, probably weren't expecting to become pawns in the immigration debate, just as we never stopped to consider the trauma we inflict on those innocent little pink and blue pegs in the Game of Life. Yeah, those Chicken wranglers are starting to take comedy way seriously."

"Host Jeff Foxworthy has a theory about why no one's mastered this quiz show, which poses elementary-school questions to adults. "It's kinda like cleaning your attic out," he says. "When you find something that you haven't used for 20 years, you throw it away. Now all of a sudden, somebody's offering you a million dollars for it, and you're like, 'I don't have it anymore!'" Producers asked Foxworthy to be a contestant on season 2, but the world-history-challenged comic says he declined. "I was like, It's better for people to just think you're an idiot."
