Excellent, the more Wireheads we can convert, the better !
Anyway, enjoy Episode 39. I saw it last week and really liked it, especially because we got to see some more favorite characters that we havent seen since last season. Ill definitely watch it again either tonight or tomorrow night before I watch Episode 40 On Demand.
And speaking of Episode 40, here's the synopsis for tomorrow's On Demand premiere, from meevee.com :
Episode 40: 'Home Room' :
Prez learns a difficult lesson during his first week at school; Bunny mulls an offer for a crime-research study; Rawls sabotages Freamon's unit; the mayor reacts to Carcetti's debate bombshell; Proposition Joe suggests reaching out to Marlo.

Carcetti amused me alot last week. His campaign woman is HOT!
Will McNulty get back with her do you think?
And how long will it take Daniels to get McNulty back in the detective role?

Yea, Theresa D'Agostino looks alot better than she did last season (and a bit thicker, too). That haircut she had in S3 was simply godawful.
As far as McNulty getting back with her, well, I dont see that happening, and for a couple of reasons. For starters, McNulty knew that she was using him last year and smartened up to it, plus he was obviously insulted by the fact that she looked down on him for not being into politics and having tunnel vision as it concerns Baltmimore and his cases. Not only that, but he's been living with Beadie Russell and seems more centered - and happy - now, more so than he has been in recent years.
Which leads to your next question about whether or not he will become a detective again. I think that the seeds were definitely planted by Daniels in the premiere, but for now McNulty seems happy where he's at. That's not to say it wont happen, though; personally I think we'll see it next season rather than this year if it does.

So, anybody see Episode 40 yet On Demand ?
Even though it wasnt a surprise it was still a shame to see the Detail be taken apart by that jerkoff Rawls. It'll be interesting to see if its reformed before the season ends. It'll also be interesting to see whether or Bodie decides to war with Marlo or take his package. It was also great to see Omar, Bunny and especially Beadie back in the mix. Damn she looked good...
Oh, and that last season with the girl slashing the other girl in Prez' class was chilling...
And here's the summary for Episode 41, from meevee.com :
Episode 41: 'Refugees'
Marlo and Royce engage in separate games of high-stakes poker; Cutty gets a side job catching truants; Greggs endures initiation rituals in the homicide division; Carcetti makes his pitch to a group of black clergy.

The attention to detail is staggering. Did you recognize the kid in Cuttys gym trying to get Mike off the heavy bag? He was the kid last season that Cutty got into boxing. Lost about twenty pounds of baby fat and is a lean, in shape boxer.

Yea, Id noticed that Justin had slimmed down a bit. I also noticed that the kid who he was fighting with last season when Cutty told them about the gym was with him, and theyre apparently good friends now, too.

Marlos' hitman Chris is absolutely chilling. Im not sure if there trying to make the point that in an enviorment like that it might be inevitable that a serial killer would develop, but thats certainly what it feels like.

Do you mean Chris or the young boy Michael, cuz if its Chris, then yea, I definitely agree with you there.
Anyway, Im loving the season more and more each week. The overall arc of the season is really starting to come together, too. Im dying to watch Episode 43 this Monday On Demand.

Sorry, Chris. Ill change that. Anyways its obvious he's something more then the other killers that have been on the show - Weebay, Omar, etc. Its obvious those guys have become sociopathic because of their situation but with Chris its something more beyond that. He's the most intriguing character to watch, for me, this season, aside from the four kids who are impossible to not watch.

I gotta bump this thread. Is anyone watching this show!?! Its beyond necessary. This should be required viewing in all college freshmen curriculum starting yesterday.

Doesnt look like it, dude. Once again I think you and I are the lone voices of support for The Wire in this forum.
Anyway, just saw Episode 47 On Demand and I really liked it, and it looks like things are really going to start coming to a head next week as far as the bodies in the rowhouses go. Looks like Chris may finally have screwed up when he did that 'favor' for Michael; he let hsi emotions get the better of him and was sloppy as a result. So many characters are tied into this particular storyline and it'll be interesting to see where they all go from here. Im particularly interested in seeing what Bodie will do after seeing his reaction after Slim told him about Kevin.
What do you think of this season so far, Sev ? Im really enjoying it, of course, but, I dont know, to me there's something missing. Maybe its the fact that there isnt an actual wiretap on Marlo and his crew and as a result no prolonged investigation. One of my favorite parts of the show has always been seeing how the cops build a case from the ground up, and that's sorely lacking this year, IMO.

Maybe another network will start showing it. I've caught some "Deadwood" on The History Channel.
