Finished watching Season 2. Pretty good....not sure if I'd put it ahead of Season 1 but we'll see after more viewings. But the humour was definitely taken to the next level.

What did you think of the sequence with the hidden mike in the tennis ball that gets squished?

It was funny I guess. Sorry, I don't remember the scene entirely....is there something special about it?

Oh, I just found it funny in an unusual way, I suppose .
What funny stuff do you remember from Season 2?

I think the funniest part was probably with Bunk and Freamon when the feds go to the office for the first time. Also, McNulty and the mannequin.

Probably the best way to view this is on DVD.

Speaking of DVDs, I checked Amazon just now, and every season (one through five, though the latter isn't actually out on DVD yet) has five full stars from customers. That's unprecedented, so far as I know. Even the best shows, books and music tends to have enough people after a certain point to drop it to four and a half stars. I can think of a few five star items with a lot of reviews, but there aren't many, and no TV show with as many seasons has done so well, so far as I know.

I've just seen the last episode of season 5. Outstanding television. No quality drop-off in the writing, even after five seasons, which is just amazing. And I love these characters.
I'm sorry to have come to the end of it, but what an achievement for T.V.

With at least 100 ratings:
The Simpsons Season 4 and 5
Prison Break Season 1 and 2
House Season 2
Arrested Development (all seasons)
Futurama Vol 2 and 4
I don't think it's that uncommon.
EDIT: Unless, of course, you're specifically referring to every season of a show having a 5 star rating.
