I just thought the pacing was off throughout the movie - too much time spent on uninteresting action scenes like the dragon, not enough time spent on story and character development. And I didn't really have a highly developed mental conception of the graveyard scene, but I imagined it would at least be frightening. But in the film there's no fright at all in the graveyard, the scenes actually just felt kindof silly to me. And the problem certainly wasn't Fiennes; he's a perfectly capable actor, and in OotP proves himself to be a perfectly chilling Voldemort, both at the train station and later on at the Ministry.
Mind you, I'm not really a fan of any of the Potter films, though I at least like Azkaban. Phoenix is probably right after it for me. It seemed to capture the feel of the book, albeit to a lesser extent than Azkaban did.
And the first to are just faithful but soulless adaptations. Not really much to like about this film, nor is there much to dislike, other than the simple fact that there's really nothing to like about them. Which is enough of a reason for me.

How creative.
I know for real. I was waiting for Dobby Hedwig Cadagogan Potter to show up, I don't think JKR reused enough names. I also thought the whole "hee hee James is JUST LIKE his namesakes hee hee" was ridiculous.

Actually, Ginny noted that James is just like Ron, afflicted with foot in mouth timing.

Yeah, I guess he had alot of Ron's traits as well, but I still think that it was a little too convienient that James was the joker of the family. It doesn't ruin the whole book or anything like that, it's just mildly annoying.

The Tales of Beedle the Bard to be released for general public in December!!!
JKR: "There was understandable disappointment among Harry Potter fans when only one copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard was offered to the public last December. I am therefore delighted to announce that, thanks to the generous support of Bloomsbury, Scholastic and Amazon (who bought the handwritten copy at auction) – and with the blessing of the wonderful people who own the other six original books - The Tales of Beedle the Bard will now be widely available to all Harry Potter fans. Royalties will be donated to the Children’s High Level Group, to benefit institutionalised children in desperate need of a voice. The new edition will include the Tales themselves, translated from the original runes by Hermione Granger, and with illustrations by me, but also notes by Professor Albus Dumbledore, which appear by generous permission of the Hogwarts Headmasters’ Archive."
The Tales will be published in two versions - standard and collector's edition.
Hurrah!

The announcement from JKR's website:
The Children's High Level Group to publish "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" on 4th December 2008
There was understandable disappointment among Harry Potter fans when only one copy of "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" was offered to the public last December. I am therefore delighted to announce that, thanks to the generous support of Bloomsbury, Scholastic and Amazon (who bought the handwritten copy at auction) - and with the blessing of the wonderful people who own the other six original books - "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" will now be widely available to all Harry Potter fans. Royalties will be donated to the Children's High Level Group, to benefit institutionalised children in desperate need of a voice. The new edition will include the Tales themselves, translated from the original runes by Hermione Granger, and with illustrations by me, but also notes by Professor Albus Dumbledore, which appear by generous permission of the Hogwarts Headmasters' Archive.' 'Dumbledore's commentary on the Tales, which was discovered among his papers after his death, includes some historical notes, personal reminiscences, and insights into that most mysterious branch of magic: wandlore. I very much hope that readers coming to these classic wizarding fables for the first time will find his commentary both entertaining and helpful.
Like Zaz said, what sounds really interesting are the DD notes on wandlore, I may actually buy this.

More info on the book from TLC:
the-leaky-cauldron posted: Additional Info on Previous Elder Wand Owners, Malfoy Family, Aberforth Dumbledore and More in New "Beedle the Bard" Book

Scholastic, the US publishers of the Harry Potter novels, have updated their website with additional information regarding some of the content to be found in the new “Tales of the Beedle the Bard” book by J.K. Rowling due December 4 of this year. Noting the material written 18 months before his death, Professor Albus Dumbledore is said to reveal ” not just his vast knowledge of Wizarding lore, but also more of his personal qualities: his sense of humor, his courage, his pride in his abilities, and his hard-won wisdom.” Of particular interest are the new details we can expect to find regarding “Aberforth Dumbledore, Lucius Malfoy and his family, and Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington (or “Nearly Headless Nick”), as well as other professors at Hogwarts and the past owners of the Elder Wand. Dumbledore tells us of incidents unique to the Wizarding world, like hilariously troubled theatrical productions at Hogwarts or the dangers of having a “hairy heart.” But he also reveals aspects of the Wizarding world that his Muggle readers might find all too familiar, like censorship, intolerance, and questions about the deepest mysteries in life.”
If you have not yet done so, be sure to check out in depth the new cover art by Mary Grande Pre on the Scholastic website, as well as see photos of the deluxe edition of the book here in our image galleries, along with the UK edition of the novel. Single High Res images of the US book cover can be seen via this link, the UK cover right here.
Again, all proceeds of this book, sales of which are expected to exceed 8 million dollars, will benefit the Children’s High Level Group. As noted before, there will be two editions of the book, a special Collector’s Edition and the Standard version both will be published December 4, 2008. Pre-orders for the book are available via our Cauldron Shop: Collector’s Edition, Standard Edition. The Collector’s Edition ($100 USD) will include the following: • All five fairy tales from the original The Tales of Beedle the Bard • Outer case disguised as a wizarding textbook from the Hogwarts library • Exclusive reproduction of J.K. Rowling’s handwritten introduction • 10 new illustrations by J.K. Rowling not included in the Standard Edition or the original handcrafted edition • Velvet bag embroidered with J.K. Rowling’s signature • Metal skull, corners, and clasp • Replica gemstones • Emerald ribbon
The Standard Edition ($7.59 USD) will have: • All five fairy tales from the original The Tales of Beedle the Bard • A new introduction by J.K. Rowling • Illustrations reproduced from the original handcrafted book • Commentary on each of the tales by Professor Albus Dumbledore
Interest how the Malfoys are relevant to the Tales. And Nearly Headless Nick.

$100? Geez...that's way too pricey. I'll be getting the cheap version.

But I do want to own the book even if I'm not prepared to fall for marketing ploys; I've also ordered "Magical Beasts" and "Quidditch Through the Ages". Read them in library copies, and they are both very funny.

I have both of those books, and I love them. Especially all of Harry and Ron's doodling and comments.
