8PM-8PM TBS, TV-PG "A Christmas Story"

"Not busy from 8 p.m. Christmas Eve until 8 p.m. Christmas Day? Why not park yourself on the couch with some cookies and eggnog to watch 24 hours of A Christmas Story? That's watching one holiday movie a whopping 12 consecutive times! You'll learn something new with each viewing — like a curse word (''F-dash-dash-dash'') or the reason you should never accept a triple dog dare (your tongue will stick to the pole)."

Seen 159,000 times. And yes, I still watch it once per year.

Me too. In fact, I remember seeing it in June of all times (it was part of a summer double feature). Why it wasn't released just before X-mas that year befuddles me...

IMDB says it came out in Nov, but I remember seeing it in the summer too. I remember really liking the parts where mean kid chases the other kids.

Well for some reason my parents don't have cable right now, but they got the DVD and we watched it together tonight. It was WAYYY better than the super lame "Singles 2nd Ward," for whose targeted demographic I could not fit more perfectly yet I still thought it was a crappy, hardly-funny movie. And considering every "joke" was something only someone like me could get, I think that says something.

While I have seen this movie in its entirety many times, I don't think I've ever watched it from beginning to end in one sitting.

When dealing with genocide, you must ask yourself,
"What would Hitler do?"
And then, you know, do the opposite.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday

ABC Family, PG-13 "Bring-It-On-Athon"

"Watch Kirsten Dunst (pictured) in the original Bring It On at 7 p.m. on Friday, immediately followed by Bring It On Again at 9 p.m. Rest up, because come 4 p.m. on Saturday, you'll be tuning in to watch Bring It On, Bring It On Again at 6 p.m., followed by Bring It On: All Or Nothing from 8 to 10 p.m.. Get siked, because Friday and Saturday? That was just a warm-up for Sunday. On Sunday, watch Bring it On Again again, at 4 p.m., Bring It On: All or Nothing at 6 p.m., and the premiere of Bring It On: In It To Win It, at 8 p.m. Hoo-rah! If reading all that made you gouge your eyes out, then you were not adequately prepared for a Bring-It-On-Athon."

Oh, brother.
