Anyone else watch the 2 hr premier last night? I was actually very impressed with it! I had pretty low expectations going in, thinking it was just going to be 24 meets Groundhog Day, but with a black dude. It was actually pretty good though, and different enough from both to stand on its own.
One thing I really liked was that what happens to the main character physically carries over to the next day. On Day 1, he cuts himself shaving and is kicked in the ribs. When he wakes up on Day 2, his ribs are sore and he still has the cut from shaving. For the next 60 minutes or so I started wondering what would happen if he got his hand cut off, or something else extreme like that. My question was answered when he was shot in the shoulder on Day 3, and then woke up bleeding from the wound on Day 4. Very interesting twist, and prevents a cheap cop-out like him being killed one day but waking up ok the next morning, like in Groundhog Day.
Also, A.D. Skinner and Jayne Cobb are in it. That's enough right there to keep me watching for another 11 weeks! My only question now is, what happens after 11 weeks?

I missed it...any chance of the premiere being re-aired?
EDIT: I love the idea of his injuries carrying over...adds an extra element of danger to it, whereas in Groundhog Day, ole Murray could just off himself at any time and come back...I like this idea alot better.

According to a review I read, ABC has promised a definite conclusion by the end of episode 13. Very interesting. Makes you wonder what they plan for a 2nd season.

haha, I was thinking the same thing, but I guess the producers don't want to remind people of that movie. I actually didn't mind the movie too much, though.

I didn't really like the premise of the show, but I might check out the first episode to see if it was good or not.

It definitely has something to do with the dude in the rock quarry, because the preview for future episodes seems to hint that he remembers the previous times Hopper was there. Also in the preview, Hopper's partner is taken to the quarry - does that mean she'll start reliving the same day over and over?
One thing to keep in mind that Rob Bowman of The X-Files is a director on the series ....

I just think it's interesting that he retains his mental and physical state from the previous day. He's traveling in this time warp. It's unreal.
I was confused though. The rock quarry guy didn't seem to know what the black guy was talking about when he was there the second time. It's almost like he didn't know how the black guy (What's his name so I don't have to keep calling him the black guy?  ) was able to know the information that he did.
