Quite a disaster, I guess. But I'll have to take their word for it, since I never even heard about it.

42.And come to think about it, online entertainment in general.
Remember all the millions wasted on websites that were going to revolutionize Hollywood? Apparently people didn't want to watch bad cartoons and short films on their computers. Go figure.
No, I don't remember, but I'll take their word on it.

I think on-line entertainment has a future. It just isn't here yet.

Online entertainment...hmm...Youtube does a decent job, but they'll probably disappear soon.

Could this list be more condescending?

"I think on-line entertainment has a future. It just isn't here yet. "
When you can hook up your computer to your digital TV and surf from the comfort of your couch then on line entertainment make it big.
Most people would rather watch entertainment on a large screen TV then a small computer monitor.

41. Former dry cleaner to the stars
Elie Samaha built Franchise Pictures largely on his ability to nuzzle up to big talent and find a way to bankroll their pet projects. Too often, the end result has been B.O. fizzle (remember Battlefield Earth?). Figure in the discovery that Samaha was bilking German distributor Intertainment by padding budgets, subsequent judgments against Samaha and Franchise totaling $106 million, and the company's bankruptcy filing, and Samaha's career looks to be in its final spin cycle.

40. Mickey Rooney's Cartoonish, stereotype-infused
portrayal of Japanese landlord in Breakfast at Tiffany's marred a great film, and ranks near D.W. Griffith's The Birth of a Nation as one of cinema's most racist nightmares

I don't know as I'd blame Rooney entirely; it was written and directed that way, too.

A great film? You lost me right there. Rooney was the least of that film's problems.
You gotta love their hyperbole though: "...ranks near D.W. Griffith's The Birth of a Nation as one of cinema's most racist nightmares." That's hillariously ridiculous. I guess this guy missed all the Orientalism that plagued Hollywood depictions of East Asia after the carrer of Anna May Wong ended.
