Yeah, but the advantage there is if you get there before your friends, you've probably already seen all the answers, so you can act like you're real smart when they get there.

Well what a surprise Jar Jar Binks is on the list... I had a feeling he would be, and thought he might even be top 5 (he was number 7). So sad

i don't have too much problem with the commercials. what i have a problem with are the trailers that are played TOO LOUDLY, and if you notice, the trailers are played at a higher volume than the actual movie sometimes. my ears are sensitive because of my sinuses, and so i end up sitting outside, waiting for the trailers to stop and the movie to start.

The commercials have helped delay the previews for me if I'm running late. Also they help delay the film so that stragglers can find their seats. I wouldn't say they're a disaster per say, but I could do without them despite the aide they've sometimes given me.

I think that it's good to draw a distinction between trailers (commercials for upcoming movies) and non-movie commercials. I looooove watching trailers, because I need to keep updating my mental list of what movies are coming out.

That helped me the other day when I missed the exit three times on the way to see Curse of the Golden Flower.

I agree. Hate commercials, the movie previews
Actually, they helped me when a friend and I went to a movie today because ours wasn't playing, and the commercials were starting right as we were buying our tickets.

If there have to be commercials in a movie theater, they belong in those useless pre-movie things that no one pays attention to. Once the lights actually darken, the only appropriate advertising is movie trailers.

The trailers themselves are getting to be a menance; I try to avoid them because the trailers are so damn irritating, and general make me *not* want to see the whole movie, generally by summarizing it completely or by revealing plot points.

I didn't realize movie theaters were hurting for money so bad that they needed to add commercials for TV shows and food.\
don't mind the movie trailers so much, even though I'm getting tired of ones that claim to be based on a true story.

I made similar comments when Jen and I saw 'Casino Royale' this weekend. If I wanted to watch commercials, I'd sit at home at watch TV. I remember when the cinema used to be a haven from commercials...

I definitely hope 'trailers that blow major plot points' is on this list. I hate that with a passion.

I checked the whole list, and sorry, it doesn't seem to be.
But hey, at least those things let you avoid wasting money on the film?

The sequel to "The Mask of Zorro" gave away the major plot point in the trailer. It flopped.
