The latest trailer is actually looking pretty good, surprisingly...

this last trailer actually looked really good. Was that Terrence Stamp I saw in it?
Every time I see Steve Carrell in this movie, I can't help but think back to the office episode where they introduce Agent Michael Scorn.

Yes, General Zod is the leader of Chaos. This movie is one of the few rehashes of an old TV show that looks like it may be superior (along with, surprisingly, The Dukes of Hazzard). Really can't wait for it.

Well, just got back and I loved it.
Some pandering to a younger audience with a few specific jokes, but more than enough to make up for it for me.
I was a little worried going in, being a fan of the original and tending to hate remakes, but really enjoyed it.
Cameos were very well done, great casting...yeah. Great in general.

It's got a 50/50 on the reviews. This is considerably better than Myers, who got 16/100; however, "The Love Guru" is apparently loaded with toilet jokes, and we know this is hilarious to a certain demographic.

I saw earlier today, and I thought it was great. Was much better than I thought it would be. Maybe it's just that I was a fan of the show, watched it on Nick at night and was so used to seeing old tv shows being turned into Parodies, aka Starsky and Hutch. But I was wrong, this seems more like an action movie, with comedy in it. Of course, Carrell was great, but Anne Hathaway surprised me, I thought she was really great here. Oh and she's got great legs, kudos for her wearing that dress. Oh and gotta love:
the references to the show, the classic car, the shoe phone, and of course the theme song. Plus, Bill Murray was great, as the guy in the tree and Puddy at the end! Alan Arkins swordfish scene was hillarious.
oh yeah, and naked guy from borat was thankfully not naked here.

As a fan of the original show, i have to say i was quite pleased with how this turned out. Managed to work in all the classic bits while still keeping it entertaining for the non-fans.
I actually hope that they try to make another one so that we can see Himey in action!
Loved the cameo by the original Siegfried...
