I was a fan of the first one and thought it was excellent for the budget. I saw this movie last night and it was one of the most intense films I'm ever seen. I don't think a movie has ever scared me so much in my life, and better yet the action scenes took my breath away. The characters were amazing as well!

If you were a fan of the first film, 28 Days Later, you should love this one. Or a zombie-type film fan in general. Be warned that it is extremely gory and has some very terrifying sequences.

Has anyone else seen it, and if so what did you think?

Added it to the Index.

Like Robert Carlyle, don't (alas) like zombie movies, except "Shawn of the Dead"...

I was extremely dubious about this film, having loved the first. I've heard great things about this though, so I'll go see it later in the week.

It was a solid follow-up to the first movie. It is one of those films that will probably benefit from an extended edition. The journey through London could have done with being just a little longer, so we could get to know the characters slightly better.

I saw it friday and was really impressed. It had a few cliches, but the filmmakers rarely, if ever, held back and I give them props for that. Carlyle was great, the beginning of the film shows him around the time that the original film took place and I honestly felt for him, which is something too rare in horror films. Not quite as good as Days, but certainly better than most horror films out there and worth watching in theaters.

I thought 28 Weeks did a great job mimicking the atmospherics/mood of the original movie, but the story wasn't nearly as engaging. I'm a little bit surprised they had the confidence in this film to open it up between Spider-Man 3 and Shrek 3. The result: the movie's going to tank.

I actually saw it the same day as Spider-man 3 and it kicked Spidey's butt. It washed out the meh taste of seeing a medicore movie in theaters with a vengeance.

I'll tell my friends to see this, but I have a feeling they will have the same reaction when I told them Grindhouse was better than 300.

Yeah, the whole original sequence is awesome.

I think 28 Weeks is going to bomb too, I wish they had waited another weekend or something to release it because this movie really deserves to do well.

I am not a fan of zombie movies at ALL. However 28 Days Later I freaking love, and I watch it every time it comes on.

It is a relatively low budget movie, though.

I saw it today. Not to shabby. I liked how it was a decent sequel with not a lot of lame rip off's. I would have liked to see the father survive a little longer as well as the two army pals that were helping out. I liked it better than spidey and i'd watch it again.

I'm a little reluctant to see it. I wanted to see the people in 28 Days Later (the ones that survived) come back. I'm not fond of sequals of any movie. A lot of the ones I have seen have really sucked.
