Don't really care about Rush Hour 3, but then again I'm not really into comedies in general.
I liked the first National Treasure and all of my friends are excited about the second, but the new trailer is just beyond ridiculous. Hopefully it will have a self-conscious campy quality to it, otherwise I think it'll be a train wreck.
yeah, I hate laughing too.

That polar bear is such an awesome character in the book, though. And it looks like the movie will do him justice.
but it's a polar bear... that talks...
But it also fights another polar bear in a titanic one on one battle and then the winner eats the heart of the loser. Yummy.

Yeah I wasn't really into Bourne either before. But Ultimatum was awesome. And I have gotten the first two movies and now reading the books.

All Harry Potter movies since I saw "Chamber of Secrets" and confirmed that they all suck.

Harry Potter and Transformers. Harry Potter because it's probably not worth it in theaters and Transformers just looked bad.

The Rush Hour movie looks awful and I do not want to see it at all. Same with Hot Rod...though I bet it will be sorta clever.

I agree with Harry Potter, I just don't get what the whole phenomenon is, it's just, so, derivative. I don't know enough about Golden Compass (otherwise known as Northern Lights here in Blighty) to care either way, but I'll probably just let it sail by. I don't think I've even seen the trailer.

The reason the HP films do so well is because the books are so damn enjoyable. Sure, Rowling's not the best writer in the world, but she's got the imagination to make up for it.
The movies are poor translations of the books (the amount of stuff they left out in the OotP movie is staggering), but they're still enjoyable for us HP fans.

I like laughing alright.
It's getting there that's the tough part.
If I want laughs I can get as many from Leno's monologue every night as I do in 90% of Hollywood comedies.

I second the Potter movies... I read all of Deathly Hallows the day after it was released, but still haven't seen the Order of the Phoenix movie. I don't really get the point of the movie adaptations, they don't really add anything to the books but they do require them to cut scenes. And the visuals can't match what you imagine in your head while reading the books if you have a reasonably good imagination.
I'm sure I could think of plenty of others, too. I tend to have somewhat quirky taste.
