On Speed Racer. I definitely agree. The trailer looked terrible and the directors aren't very good. The Wachowski Bros. botched the Matrix sequels and utterly raped V For Vendetta so I'm going to say the Matrix was a fluke.

Uh, he's not. David Yates is. Del Toro gets play in Tolkien's sandbox, but you are correct. Hellboy II will rule very hard.
As for Speed Racer, I disagree. It looks like rediculous, campy fun.

Hellboy was ridiculously dumb. I can't enjoy a movie where I laugh at the heroes because they look so damn goofy.

I am a fan of Hellboy, Mignola and Del Toro and still the first movie felt lacking. I look forward to the next one, but its not high on my list of must see movies. And the first was far from being the best comic book movie.

I can't wait to see it if for no other reason than to watch Hulk and Abomination destroy my old neighbourhood. I am hoping that this will ride on the coattails of Iron Man and be surprisingly decent.
