I'm going to post a separate thread here in Amph for more in depth discussion. In this thread, I'll post one album per day. Please, by all means, feel free to post in both this one and the JCC thread.. I'm not doing this to keep things separate. As I said, this is more for discussing each album in more depth.
Some great lists were submitted... awesome job guys. I decided to bypass the software yet again, and compiled this list by hand... yeah, I'm neurotic. It took many many hours, but I have a love for purity, I suppose, and this way I got to see the list gradually take form.
I've included a link to the Wikipedia entry for each album, and youtube links for most of the tracks. I've done my best to only use actual artist videos consisting of the album recording, but for some, one was not available. For those tracks, I've used the best live recording I could find.. best quality. For some, I resorted to using fan videos.. but again, I've done my best to select the best quality videos I could find. I feel this way, people who are unfamiliar with an album can really check it out.
I've decided to bypass the wikipedia copy / paste for this list. I feel the links / music can speak for themselves. As I said though, I've included a Wiki link for those interested.
All of that being said, let's get started.

I’m so very happy this album made the list. I only got into Flaming Lips a couple of years ago, but they’ve quickly become one of my favorite groups. Kudos to those who voted for this one.

I could only imagine what a pain it must have been to assemble this list, I bow to you.
Yoshimi was my second Lips album after getting Soft Bulletin, which is still my favorite, but Yoshimi I think actually has a few better individual songs. Do you realize???? comes to mind.

Great job, Harps. I can imagine this one was particular difficult, as a broader spectrum of votes were cast.

I love this one... Wonderful music for when you’re in a mellow mood. James Mercer has a wonderfully hypnotic voice.

I'm going to listen to all the music you link to here, harps, but it's going to take so long that I'll never get caught up I'm sure. So I'll spare you my weeks later comments on the albums.
I'll just comment on the ones I'm familiar with already.
I quite loved The Soft Bulletin, but I haven't heard this one from the Lips. The band originates a mere two hours from where I live, so I've supported them from day one as a great representative of my state. I think they're a great band. Coyne's voice is outstanding.
The Shins I'm not familiar with.

I think O, Inverted World is the weakest of The Shins albums. I prefer Chutes Too Narrow and even the recently released Wincing the Night Away to it. I included Chutes on my top ten list. I'm crossing my fingers it shows up higher in the countdown.

I know and greatly enjoy a bunch of individual Shins songs, without really being that familiar with the albums beyond knowing their titles.
I'm less familiar with the Flaming Lips, though I like the songs I do know. I don't get far in most great album discussions before Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots comes up, but that might be the kind of people I have music discussions with.

98) Blade Runner Soundtrack - Vangelis
Wiki
Main Titles
Blush Response
Wait For Me
Rachel's Song
Love Theme
One More Kiss, Dear
Blade Runner Blues
Memories of Green
Tales of the Future
Damask Rose
Blade Runner (End Titles)
Tears in Rain
I haven't seen the movie before, and therefore hadn't heard this soundtrack until just now, and I really like it a lot. It's one of the better movie scores I've heard.. very relaxing and genuine sounding.

Blade Runner should be in the top 50, if not the top 25. This score is ingenious and in any other movie would have overwhelmed the visuals and the story, but in this film it completes the immersion process for one of the best sci-fi movies of all time.
*Edit*
harpuah, you need to watch this movie, but only on the condition that you watch it alone and on a dreary, rainy day.
