incredible movie, Cameron getting up to speed with a big budget, guns blazin', crisp writing, and an awesome climactic scene with one of cinema's all-time great throwdown lines:

"GET AWAY FROM HER YOU B****!"

That line blew the roof off the theatre when I saw it. The audience went CRAZY!

The movie up until this point is pretty meh, but this line was the first time I became aware how badass a character could really be. tongue

I actually dislike that line, or at least its delivery.

Indeed and having just watched it again yesterday I found the majority of the story dull and uninteresting and the majority of characters to be utterly annoying. The only part worth watching was the latter third of the film. But then again I find every Cameron film to be vastly overrated.

^And yet you found Superman Lifts exciting?

I don't get that.

What do you look for in a movie?

Character development, story development, an interesting character I could relate to.

Besides...last time I checked I am allowed to have and voice an opinion as well. wink

No offence, it was a genuine question.

Several posters here whose opinions on film I respect love movies I find dull or unengaging; I'm always interested to find out what they see in those films that I don't.

I just wasn't pulled in by it. By no means do I consider it a bad film. But it didn't succeed in making me want to continue watching up until the third act. Personally I just find too many people make such a big deal about this movie, and I just don't see what they see. To each their own I guess. tongue

I can see that if you are interested in character arcs, then the movie is kind of barren on that front. It's not something I had considered before now.
