John, Dakota accidents are actually thicker than MN accents. But yeah, they're ridiculous  And I say this as a native Minnesotan.
I've been to Fargo, but I've never seen the movie. My parents have it on VHS... maybe I'll watch it the next time I'm home. Always wanted to see it.

Yeah, though I only lived there like a year. But our best friends who are more family than some of our family still live there. So we are up there multiple times a year. It's a second home.
One of those people is from South Dakota and, from what I've heard of this film, his accent actually *does* match those. It's not an exaggeration for all.
