This thread will be simliar to my "Favorite Film of 2007" thread. Here you will post your most anticipated films of 2008. After they have come out, you can come back here to see how they stacked up against your (and others) expectations. We will also be able to see which of your most anticipated films ended up being your favorite films of 2008.

So here are mine:

1. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - I cannot wait to see a Indiana Jones film in theaters for the first time! grin

2. The Dark Knight - I was pleasantly surprised with Batman Begins, I had figured the Batman franchise had run its course. But that was before I was familiar with Nolan's work.

3. Iron Man - I'm not familiar with the comics, but the trailers look wicked cool.

4. Quantum of Solace - Casino Royale was like a shot of adrenaline to another series that was down. Let's see if this can continue.

5. Cloverfield - Yeah, I know this was already out. It definately lived up to my expectations.

6. The Happening - I still have faith in Shymalan. He has far more good films than bad. Wahlberg is always a good draw for me.

7. Wall-E - Pixar has not made a bad film yet. This one has intrigued me more than any other Pixar film yet.

8. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian - I thought the first was okay, but this looks like it could be better.

9. The Incredible Hulk - I thought the first was okay. I thought the casting for the first was excellent, it was just the script that was lacking. This cast looks excellent as well.

10. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - I'm always game for a Brad Pitt/David Fincher film, but this one could swing either way. I still want to see it though.

So what are yours?

I don't have a top 10 or anything like that, but I'm really excited to see two movies. Indiana Jones and The Dark Knight (imagine if they did a crossover! wow, I just made my self lol blush ). I've been a big Indy fan for a while. I have some reservations about the new movie, but I think everything will turn out fine after watching the promo. I really enjoyed Batman Begins, so I'm excited about its sequel. The whole Heath Ledger thing is going to be weird, but it should be a good movie.

Iron Man, Indy IV, The Dark Knight, and Burn After Reading are the only ones I'll see regardless of the critical reception.

So I just read about Burn After Reading, and it sounds great, especially the cast. I just hope it doesn't suck like NCFOM did.

1. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull -- The first Indy movie in nearly 20 years looks and sounds like it'll fit nicely with the rest.

2. The Dark Knight -- I have a feeling this will be the first superhero movie to transcend the genre. Heath Ledger's death will also cement this as a legend, assuming it's as great as it looks.

3. The Happening -- I'm a die hard M. Night fan. That combined with Mark Wahlberg and an R-rating make me stoked. Plus the trailer's great.

4. Iron Man -- Looks fun, hilarious, and badass. Jon Favreau is clearly a geek and looks like he knows how to direct action movies. It's also nice to have a superhero who isn't teenage-looking, emo, or dark and brooding, but an outgoing alcoholic played by Robert Downey Jr.

5. Wall-E. This and The Happening are pretty much the only original Summer tentpoles this year. I think this looks great. And the interviews with the director make me even more excited.

6. The Incredible Hulk -- I have the script for this and it's really great. Casting Edward Norton and William Hurt make it even more promising

7. Quantum of Solace -- Don't know enough about it yet to be REALLY excited, but I'm sure that'll change as soon as a trailer's released

8. Pineapple Express -- Seth Rogen is a comedic genius. And this looks like it has loads of badassery. Combining Rogen's and Evan Goldberg's comedic sensibilities to a film noir story is great. The trailer's awesome as well

9. Hellboy II: The Golden Army -- After Hellboy and Pan's Labyrinth, Guillermo Del Toro is a god. It looks like he's been given free reign here. Which is probably a good thing (see Sam Raimi and Spider-Man 2)

10. Speed Racer -- another visual feast by the Wachowski's. This just looks like fun.

Here are the movies I'm definitely going to see opening night.

1. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: I was born the year Temple of Doom came out so I've never had the opportunity to see one in theatres. Definitely the movie I'm most excited for.

2. Star Wars: The Clone Wars: I think the animated movie looks great, and I really can't wait to see it. Especially seeing Anakin deal with his own padawan.

3. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian: I loved this book, and I can't wait to see what they do with it.

4. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: I seriously hope they don't mutilate the adaption, but I'm trying to keep hopeful.

In no particular order:

- The Dark Knight. I loved Batman Begins, and I think Christian Bale is by far the best Batman. Plus, it'll be interesting to see Heath Ledger's version of The Joker.

- Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. The first one was okay, but not brilliant. Prince Caspian has always been my favorite Narnia book, and the trailers look great.

- Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. All the HP movies have been great so far, so I'm guessing this one will be too.

- Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. It'll be interesting to see an old Indy in action.

-WALL*E. I love Pixar's movies, and so far this looks amazing.

In no particular order...

The Dark Knight - I've been eagerly awaiting this sequel, and though Ledger's death will make his role as The Joker more poignant, I'm still excited for it. And seeing more of Christian Bale kick arse as Batman is always great.

The Incredible Hulk - The first was a decent movie that nobody really understood. It was an artistic masterpiece to me, and though Bana isn't returning, I think Ed Norton is cut for the job.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdon of the Crystal Skull - I've seen every one of these movies in the theater, and am glad they finally got around to making another. It took them long enough...

Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay - The first was a guiltless pleasure of a movie, and those two guys have got comedic chemistry rival only by Judd Apatow's crew from Superbad and Knocked Up.

Quantum of Solace - Daniel Craig's return as 007. Can't wait.
