Finally saw this week's episode. I really liked the depiction of Adams as president as well as his deteriorating relatiionship with Jefferson. It was also cool seeing the capital and the area around it as little more than a construction site.
Anyway, looking forward to Sunday's finale although Ill be sad to this miniseries go. Ive really enjoyed it. I think Im going to pick up the book this week, too.

I've only saw the last two episodes, but they both were really good and very well done. I plan on watching the marathon on Sunday.

They really didn't show how vile Jefferson really was and the extent to which he spent his Vice Presidency smearing his President.

Thank you HBO for the greatest television series ever. Eyes were wet from Abigail's death through the very end.

God that was depressing. Still, it was very eerie how Adams and Jefferson both died on the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration.
Also, it was sad yet also kind of funny to see Adams as an ornery and bitter old fella, especially when he ripped the artist on his painting.

I found that ironic given that this series was probably filled with inaccuracy. So he's probably rolling over in his grave.

Even though this miniseries had some inaccuracies I still thought that it was done quite well. It would be interesting if they carried this on and continued through the early presidents ending with his son who we see briefly.

While it's very close, there is no way all those conversations were exact. Some you assume come from letters or journals, but some had to be from the writers' minds. Also it's possible that the locations didn't look like they did during Adam's time but since our information is from paintings and writing, it's all we have. Obviously these are minor inaccuracies that everything from that time period probably suffers a little bit from, but given that Adams was such a stickler for detail regarding that painting, I imagine he would flip over all the little details.

By conversations do you mean dialogue, because of course there's no way that could be accurate, with maybe the exception of the odd famous quote here and there.
