The infected aren't zombies, but that's no biggie. happy I love the fact they made this one more of an action film this time around. Showing that some people are immune, but are still carriers is cool and the fact that the infected will die from starvation after a given time is nice(that was in the first film, but the point is still good.)

I like this film just as much as the original. I wish I had gone to see this one in theaters like I did the first film.

Yeah I know they're not technically zombies because they are still alive and can be killed like any person. But for all intents and purposes, they are zombies. tongue

BTW, that is also one of my favorite movie posters ever.

I've never seen 28 Days Later... but I thought 28 Weeks Later was great.

You can blame that on the writers for jamming as many different character cameos(mostly in the Brotherhood faction) as they possibly could.

28 Weeks pales in comparison to 28 Days Later. It had a few good moments (the opening is one of the best zombie chase scenes I have ever seen) and some of the aspects were great but as a whole it just doesn't reach 28 Days Later IMO. Then again 28 Days is easily one of my favorite films.

Agreed 100%. The cast of Weeks didn't have anywhere near the ability of the cast from Days.

Robert Carlyle (briefly), Rose Byrne and Imogen Poots versus Brendan Gleeson, Cillian Murphy and Christoper Ecclestone? Not really a contest is it?

Cillian Murphy alone makes 28 Days worth watching...the evolution of his character is just so entertaining...in a totally ****** up and twisted way. tongue

They're very different movies, so its hard to compare the two of them. Its very close, but I think 28 Days Later is still just slightly better then 28 Weeks. But, yes, the opening of 28 Weeks is just sick good.

The beginning of 28 Weeks Later was absolutely great, but it went downhill from there. Much of the remaining action scenes were ridiculous (like the helicopter massacre), and the story lines were laughable at best. It still had some great moments, but not enough to redeem the movie. It was an okay film on its own (with a great score), but does not come close to 28 Days Later.

Because there are no story-book romances, no fairy-tale endings. So before you run out and change the world, ask yourself, "What do you really want?"
Because life... is not a movie. Everyone lies. Good guys lose. And love... does not conquer all.

I loved 28 Days Later! I have not been able to see all of the 2nd movie yet but what I did see I liked. I just wish the Cilliam Murphy was cast in this one as well.
