TLC does have one of the greatest endings in movie history. With our heroes literally riding off into the sunset.

And just before that we get to find out where Indiana got his name.
Great stuff and classic.

I honestly don't get the debate about the IJ trilogy. They are all equally brilliant in their own particular ways. I call all three of them five star films.
The tank fight in Last Crusade is brilliant and Sean Connery gets major laughs. And how can you not love the moment when Indy's hat rolls up next to him on the cliff edge? How?!? Probably that one is the definitive moment of the entire trilogy.

I think Last Crusade is a classic and the casting of Sean Connery as the "father" of the Indiana Jones was a brilliant master stroke. And I especially enjoy the opening material with River Phoenix. A great set up!
Crystal Skull surpassed all the other Indy films at the box office. It's now the 25th highest grossing film world-wide ever, and it's take is 780 million dollars, and it's still playing in a number of foreign countries so that figure will go a little higher. Not too shabby for a franchise started in 1981.

Connery is terrific and he and Ford have a genuine rapport; but TLC has some weaknesses, most notably the female lead, whatshername.

7. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Peter Jackson accomplished the near impossible: topping his masterful take on his first adaptation of fanboy bible 'LOTR.' Even those who've never read a word of Tolkien (I confess) were swept into the world of Middle-earth ... and the strong arms of Aragorn (did I say that out loud?).
I do not believe this is better than Fellowship of the Ring.

Maybe TTT isn't better, but it's a great film, if a bit long, and expands the more intimate scale of the hobbits' quest into a full-scale, epic conflict involving thousands. Its faults are a slow pace and an uneven tone; its strengths are, well, everything else in the film. A flawed masterpiece, to be sure, but a masterpiece nonetheless.

I love TTT, well I love the entire trilogy, but FOTR is by far the best out of the three. Not even close.

Agreed. TTT is good, but not near as good as FOTR.

I actually like both RotK and FotR more, but it's still awesome.

TTT has been my favorite of the trilogy. FOTR seemed to be more for fans to really appreciate it. TTT was broader and yet more specific. It had great material with Gollum (as disappointing as it's resolution is ROTK) and had a great, very dramatic "last stand of humanity" climax, where humanity is saved by humanity and not some magic unstoppable force that renders moot the sacrifices made up till that point (a fatal flaw of ROTK, and, to a lesser degree, Matrix 3).
Love the intro as well.

Ok, all three LOTR movies are great, but TTT is the least of the three. That's not saying it's bad, it's just not as great as FOTR or ROTK, I believe. FOTR felt more real to me, and ROTK just had epic all over it. TTT was the bridge, nothing wrong with that.

I'd definetly sat The Two Towers is the best of the trilogy. The Battle of Helm's Deep is easily one of the greatest battles ever put on film, and definitely the best of the trilogy. Andy Serkis is amazing here as Gollum, but he loses his edge in The Return Of The King.

TTT is the weakest in the trilogy. It's great in the beginning, but the movie loses its focus once Aragorn and company get to Edoras and heal Théoden. Helm's Deep is a great battle, but Pelennor Fields completely blows it out of the water.
