I thought all the performance in all the Indy films were great, and I'm looking forward to the new one. I wouldn't presume to tell Steven Spielberg how to direct any aspect of a film, performances or otherwise. I have a lot of respect for him. His track record speaks for itself.

There is only ONE thing I would change about Raiders, that is the scene where the Ark burns the Nazi logo off the box and kills the rats. I would cut that scene to keep people guessing whether the Ark actually has power or not.

I don't know if I agree. The suspense is not that it has power, but how much.

The scene where the FBI agents ask Indy about Tanis and Abner also shows that the Ark has power.

Is 3d better than 2d? Yes. Is 1st better than 2d? Yes. Is 3d better than 1st? No.

It's all a matter of opinion and clearly nobody's changing there's in this thread.

But Indy certainly doesn't believe the Ark has power, but Belloq (among others) does. The viewer is torn between believing the hero and the villian.

Whereabouts in Raiders is it established that Indy DOESN`T believe the Ark has power? I seem to remember him being quite cynical about the supernatural in TOD, but not in Raiders.

I love the irony that you use one stupid, cheap and terribly over used joke to illustrate your disdain for another stupid, cheap joke.
