DC had Batman and Robin and Superman Returns. Marvel doesn't hold a candle to that.

^^^ Let's not forget Batman Forever and Steel... That's right I said Steel. Remember that one? It had Shaq in it. It was magic. Superheroes have not ruined summer movies, however, Hollywood has ruined many Superheroes.

Sorry, but that article is poorly written and tries too hard to ask thought provoking questions, but never quite delivers. People are entitled to their beliefs and opinions, but blogging has only given every idiot with a computer a voice....a voice that just won't shut up. Maybe I missed the point this particular person was making...

Exactly. The writer was essentially saying "I don't like superhero movies, and neither should you. Why? Just because." I think The Dark Knight is a genuine piece of cinema. It's not the masterpiece people make it out to be, but it is very, very good. Thought provoking, great acting, directing writing and could actally be considered a piece of art. Ironman is less serious, but Robert Downy Jr is a brillaint actor and brought depth to him. I think it's a credit to the actor, not a diservice to the audience, that people were rooting for him. There was depth to be found and there were thught provoking questions just like in TDK. HellboyII was a lot of fun, a very good popcorn adventure movie.
