Inspector Lewis
A

"Tonight's Lewis might be any cozy Brit whodunit: An Oxford prof croaks listening to Wagner, and there's a love triangle and a shady restaurateur. But then the dormant East German Stasi police resurface and a well-meaning student takes a header out a window. Now it's violent, sad, exciting, a humdinger to figure out, and a smart Sunday alternative for those fleeing other networks' reruns and dimwitted housemates. Keep an eye on Lewis' (Kevin Whately) dishy, chain-smoking sidekick, Hathaway (Laurence Fox): His cryptic past unravels next week, and it's a doozy. —Aubry D'Arminio"

Avec Eric

"Eric Ripert, the co-owner of Le Bernardin and frequent “Top Chef” guest, might be the most likable chef on the planet. In this series about traveling and cooking, he goes on a wild-boar hunt and speaks pensively about how the Tuscan light will affect his cooking. Take note, Gordon Ramsay. B "

The Electric Company

"Now that this '70s throwback is going daily, I think it's about time PBS revisited The Magic Garden. Daytime television definitely needs more pigtailed hippies on swings."

Darwin's Darkest Hour

"Charles Darwin's Origin of Species has been a hot-button topic for 150 years. But this dramatization of how the book came to be published is a reminder that the actual details of the theory of evolution are kind of dull, unless you're really interested in the wax-production skills of bees. Hour stars Lost's Henry Ian Cusick as Darwin and Cashmere Mafia's Frances O'Connor as his wife, who keeps querying the naturalist about different aspects of his discovery, as if the guy had never really spoken to her in any depth about the five freaking years he spent sailing on the Beagle. C+ —Clark Collis"

"Sometimes it's enough to see great actors do their thing, and the performances in this historical drama about South Africa in the 1980s are so powerful that you're almost willing to overlook the film's flaws. William Hurt and Chiwetel Ejiofor are wonderful as, respectively, white South African professor Willie Esterhuyse and ANC representative Thabo Mbeki, who had secret meetings about ending apartheid. Unfortunately, despite the fact that we're told these clandestine talks helped abolish apartheid, it's not in any way made clear how that happened. *check local listings"

How the Beatles Rocked the Kremlin

"This features a Russian who learned English by listening to the Fab Four. Which is going to be very useful if he ever turns into a walrus."

Well, Eddie Vedder did put together a nice cd for Into the Wild. I haven't listened to much newer Pearl Jam, so I can't speak for the band.

It comes from here: http://www.ew.com/ew/tv/tonights_best_tv/0,,6,00.html

It's just an ignorant comment from someone trying to be funny.
