I don't need to "get over" anything. I don't care about the outcome of this series. If anything, I'd like to see a Lakers/Spurs showdown. However, there's a difference between "dubious" and "criminal", which is what that And 1 call on that Odom slam was. I'm not sure it ultimately affected the outcome of the game, but it's emblematic of the type of "benefit of the doubt" officiating I fully expect to see in spades during Laker games.
We shall see.

Very true. I'm pretty sure that by the letter of the law, Tim Duncan is a walking, talking technical foul.

So, will tonight be the night where the Lakers finally break through by winning a game in Utah & thus punch their ticket to the Western Conference Finals?

What a night for the Lakers! A complete balanced effort (Kobe leading the way with 34 points, 8 boards & 6 assists, Gasol's double-double (17 points, 13 boards), all the starters in double figures), the team sharing the ball well (22 total assists), turnovers remaining at the level from game 5 (14), great 3-point shooting (7-11), and dominating the Jazz throughout (until the mid 4th quarter when things got close, final score being 108-105 in favor of the purple & gold, Utah missed 2 3-point attempts during the final seconds of the game)......................all leading to the Lakers going back to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2004! Watching it in the bar of my favorite restaurant made it all the better, as the vast majority of the patrons were paying attention to the game. There are still areas of concern (defense breaking down late in the game, the bench not producing well- 16 points from it tonight, 12 from Vujacic, 3 from Walton & 1 from Turiaf) of course.

Lebron and Paul Pierce are having a stellar battle right now. 34 and 35 points each, respectively, and no one else has more than 13. This could be a close game!

Mike Brown was practically within the 3-point arc on that blown fastbreak defense. That has to be some sort of violation, right?

I'm glad for KG's sake that the Celts won. I hope the Hornets now beat the Spurs.

Does anybody else find the Celtics 8-6 playoff record just incredibly lame? It bothers me to no end for some reason. I hope Detroit crushes them.
