Considering that Boston had to take both of it's first two series to seven games. I really have to agree that Detroit has the upper hand in the Eastern finals, especially if they have a healthy Billips back.

So we're potentially staring at a Celtics/Pistons, Lakers/Spurs final four. What a conflict of interest that will be.

As a Seattle sports fan, let me just say that the NBA is dead to me.

RIP Sonics.

Well, that first half sucked. But at least the game was good. I can't complain too much about this season, though. The guys never really had the chance to jell, and without that chemistry, they simply couldn't compete against teams with better individual talent.

Still, I see a hidden blessing in disguise that perhaps with the Cavs falling short they can not fool themselves into thinking they can stand pat. I do think a full year together would get Wally, Delonte, and Joe Smith a better feel of the system, but I think the team, as constructed, cannot win an NBA title without a great amount of luck. I think in Delonte West we've found a good, serviceable point guard, who along with Boobie Gibson can be a really good two-headed monster at the point. I think we've got another 1-2 years of Big Z providing quality rebounding and a good outside shot. Which means what we really need to find is a legit second superstar to play the role of Robin. And, thanks the to trade, we've got quite a few in expiring contracts. And a deep draft class this year, with a pick we can dangle.

Here's hoping for something big this offseason.

They gave the Celtics a hell of a run though, and gave Detroit a chance to rest. It'll be an interesting conference finals.

Meh.

Honestly, if the Hornets lose tonight, I might be done watching basketball for the year. I sure as hell don't want to see the Pistons, Spurs, or Celtics win a title, and I find it incredibly hard to ever root for Kobe Bryant.

If the Hornets can't win tonight, then I suppose I'll root for the Celtics. I definitely don't want the Pistons, Spurs or Lakers to win.

Maybe so, but I don't want the Spurs to win. So the earlier they're eliminated the better.

Either way its gonna be an awesome game. I'm in for the Hornets, win or go home. Actually, I'm just as addicted to the Inside The NBA postgame show on TNT cause I was a huge Barkley fan growing up.

How hilarious a conflict of interest would the pair of Spurs/Lakers and Celtics/Pistons conference finals series be.

With LeBron out, I'd say Chris Paul is the best player remaining in the playoffs. I like the Hornets tonight.
