The Pistons have reached the East Finals for 6 straight years.

Am I the only one puzzled with why Joe Crawford is officiating Spurs playoffs games only one year after his very public altercation with Tim Duncan? Sure, he's been reinstated, but this just seems like its asking for trouble - and from what little I saw in the highlights, it looked like he was the instigator in the confrontation with Popovich.

Mark it down: LeBron will go off for a monster game in one of the three potential remaining meetings.

He wasn't the instigator, Pop was all in his face for a while before he finally gave a technical.

As for asking for trouble having Crawford reffing one of their games? Probably, because the Spurs whine more than any other team and the league, mostly because they're used to getting calls being called their way.

I agree. I hate the Spurs more than any other team in the league, except for the Lakers. I'm rooting for the Hornets to go all the way.

I've got a feeling it will be tonight. 40 points or so.

Good call, I had forgotten about K-Mart. A quick look at the #1 picks in the last 20 years indicates these are the only two teams.

Cavs had a bad night, yet still came within 7 points.

Now I can just hope for Cavs in 7.

Looks like Laker officiating circa 2002 is back in full swing.

You noticed that too??

I know they have the advantage right now, but the Lakers should seriously be concerned about the Jazz.

No, they didn't have a bad night. They had a horrible end to the second quarter and a putrid start to the third quarter. Other than that, they were great. They win the game if they can hold that lead going into halftime and keep Boston from grabbing momentum. They win that that game if they can knock down free throws in the fourth quarter. But they didn't do either of those and they lost the game.

And that's the kind of game championship teams win. I don't see Cleveland winning this series anymore. They should have won it 4-1, and you can't expect to beat Boston three times in Boston in a seven-game series. And they've already beaten them twice, really, but didn't finish it out to take home the W. I expect them to win game six in Cleveland, but fall short in game seven in Boston.

I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see it happening. Maybe we can find a team that wants to clear a nice "Robin" for some cap space and get LeBron a legit second fiddle, so we don't have to rely on the Delonte Wests (who had an amazing fourth quarter, and is growing on my every game, BTW) to win games for the Cavs. I'd love to get past LeBron and whatever role player(s) is having a good night to LeBron, a very good second option, and then the role players who know their role and do it well.

And, again, I say, isn't it time to blow it up and start over in Dallas? Dirk as a second banana is a great idea ... wink

great series' all round from a neutral's perspective.

i'm hoping for the Celtics to prevail in the East and the Hornets in the West, but also can't help but love the prospect of a Lakers Celtics finals series.

Every team gets dubious calls, not just the Lakers......................so get over it, people.

Last night was a great rebound for the Lakers, after the debacle over the weekend in Utah. Instead of relying alot on Kobe (26 points-but only took 10 shots during the game, and none during the 4th quarter-he also had 6 boards & 7 assists), the rest of the team took the charge: Odom (22 points, 11 boards)/Gasol (21 points, 6 boards, 8 assists) had great games/made key baskets down the stretch, Radmanovic showed that he's got some value left in him (15 points- 3-5 from the 3-point line-all in just 21 minutes of play), & Fisher with another solid game (14 points, 5 assists, 4 steals). The worries? Turnovers (14 for the whole game, though none in the 4th quarter) & the bench (13 total points, 1 from Walton, 6 from Vujacic, 6 from Farmar-though he hit a crticial three point shot in the 4th. Despite now having the 3-2 advantage in this series, there's no guarantee that they'll do well tommorow in Utah. Though if it comes back to L.A. for game 7 Monday night, I would much rather see the Lakers win one damn game in Utah in this series/take care of business tommorow night.
