We'll see what they say when the news comes out, but I can't say I'm inclined to believe Manny.

To be fair to Tunick, I don't think Manny is his favorite player.

Now if it was Ryan Braun or Prince Fielder from the Brewers I would be devestated.

His Facebook profile picture, up until about an hour ago, was him wearing his Manny jersey. He's now wearing his Kobe jersey. tongue

Tunick certainly was very concerned with getting Manny back this year tongue I don't think missing a third of the season to suspension was part of Tunick's plan, though.

Today, by far, was the most horrendous/worst experience in all my life of being a Dodger fan (easily beating out when Piazza was traded in 1998). At first, when texted by a co-worker about it (while at work, hence why I wasn't around here all day), I didn't believe it. Had to check ESPN.com (on my phone) to make sure, and ***damnit, it was true. Just a few hours earlier, I was very happy in the Dodgers setting a new major league record by winning their first 13 home games. Woke up this morning feeling great about that (and the Lakers win last night, of course), thinking great things for the rest of the season.................................and now this. I was there last August 1st when Manny made his Dodger debut...........................I was there this April (the 18th, a Saturday afternoon) when Manny hit his 1st 2 home runs of this season. Wonderful memories that made so proud & happy to be a Dodgers fan. Today, I feel like those memories have been set ablaze during a robbery at gun point. I'm in shock, and will be for some time to come (for the Dodgers/ baseball anyway, the Lakers are different issue, but thank goodness for their playoff right now/chances to win the NBA title.......................will mean that much more now for me). A lot of conversation centered around this today, with a popular question being "Will Mannywood ever be the same?". No, no, no. Of course not. I will always be a Dodgers fan no matter what, this '09 team is very good & I believe they will continue to play well. If they happen to win the pennant this season and or a World Series, it will mean something very special to me, but there would an emotional gap present.............................one that may never go away.

See my previous post about only needing a single key.

I so want them to just blow this whole damn team up and trade for prospects and actually reboot the thing. Even trading away the few established chips we have (Martinez, Sizemore, Lee, Wood) and just completely reboot this thing. This team never recovered from the 2007 collapse, and yet I know that we're just waiting again for the inevitable rally to a finish of between 75 and 82 wins, which will be just enough to convince everyone to stay the course, and not clean house, both with players and with management.

Thank God for the Cavaliers.

Watching Braun hit the go ahead 2 run home run last night vs the Cubs was awesome.

Watching Trevor Hoffman pitch the 9th was crazy. He has been a most excellent sign.

Sorry, Tunick, couldn't help it.

Giants take 2 of 3 from the Bums and seem to be turning things around, going over .500 in this roadtrip and going 6-0-2 in their last 8 series. Small ball may be boring and extremely frustrating, but hey, whatever works.

This has to be one of the most heartless, gutless, and worthless collection of ballplayers ever, and I refuse to even call them a team right now. How freaking pathetic. I don't remember being this down about a baseball season this early into it in a long, long time if ever. And I grew up on the 1980's Cleveland Indians.

Atlanta has actually won 7 of 9 right now, and is looking pretty good again happy Schafer's really struggling, though. Kris Medlen will actually be called up to start in place of Jo-Jo Reyes, who can't seem to win a game even when he does give a good start sad (though I'm excited to see Medlen, who has looked great in AAA so far this year. Hanson could also get called up later this year.

1-0 Win for the Brewers vs the Cards. Only 2 hits but Hart with the bomb. Nice game by Suppan with Hoffman finishing it off in the 9th.
