Probably the last time they played my Twins tongue

No seriously I think I hear 1979 or something on the sports today.

How quickly a team can return to normal... Giants have decided to play without bats, and are attempting to win using starting pitching alone. The rotation can do only so much until the other team gets to the relievers in the late innings. The only good thing? The Giants turn mediocre players into overnight superstars just by playing against them. Too bad there's no reward for generosity... plain

I've never liked the 22/7 approximation to begin with.

Braves beat the Jays 1-0 yesterday. Finally a good outing from Kawakami, but gotta get some offense.

Hey all! So excited I found this thread. Baseball fan and Star Wars fan and all.

My team is the REDS, and what a trip they're on right now. We actually have pitching and have rid ourselves of the big stars, Griffey and Dunn and now have Votto and Bruce. Yes, Votto does have an ear infection now causing dizziness, but he did hit 2 HRs last night. If he plays like that when he's sick, imagine what he can do when he's healthy! Bruce may be in a slump now, but just wait till he gets hot!

I was wondering if anyone saw the strange play in today's game with the REDS and Indians. In the 7th the game was tied when 3B Rosales was called for interfering with the Indians runner going home. Did anyone see Rosales or the runner actually touch each other? The ump has the right to the decision, but I think he was at an awkward angle and thought the runner was going around Rosales.

Of course, it didn't matter. The REDS won in the 11th. Sorry, Indian fans, but the Ohio Cup will be staying in Cincy this year!

Anyway, thanks for having me. More to come in the future.

Brewers win in one heck of a pitchers duel. Can't say I am glad to see Carpenter back for the Cards.

REDS are 5 games over .500 and 1.5 games out of First! Look out Cards and Brewers!

And Votto deserves to be an All-Star, though it will go to Pujols.

As I stated in the JCC MLB thread: As much as I despise the Yankees, I love baseball parks. I hate seeing this.
