I only saw the first two innings, but as a Giants fan, I was very dissapointed with Lincecum. sad

You and I both, Lando. It's a shame that those two innings are all many fans around the country see of Lincecum. It's not a very good sample size, but it's an impression nonetheless. At least the ones who closely follow him know that he didn't have his best stuff with him in St. Louis and that he's a much more dominant pitcher than he showed last night.

If Bush comes back pitching the way he did in May, and Parra can pitch like he did in his first start back, The Brewers rotation is suddenly in very good shape.

Despite the fact that he is now a Bum, I was glad to see Schmidt finally pitch again. Results weren't great, but it's a lot better than finding him on the DL again. Oh wait, I think he just re-injured himself again. tongue

I've been impressed with Atlanta and how they've played against SF the past two days. I'm quite frankly shocked that they are only a couple games over .500 at this point. I look up and down their lineup and, average-wise, the numbers are very solid. Especially when you compare them to the hitting-challenged Giants, who have lost the past 5 of 6, including 2 to Pittsburgh... Atlanta has managed to come up with a couple of explosive innings that automatically put the game out of reach for the Giants. Hopefully this will change on Wednesday when Lincecum takes the mound. Why not rest all my hopes upon him? He hasn't let me down yet (in a regular season game. I don't set the same standards for the midsummer classic. tongue )

The Braves have had their share of games where the offense totally disappears, though. I'd love to see the Braves of the past couple days continue this way, though.

Also, wow. Just wow.

Well, they managed 4 against Timmy, so props to them... frustrated Sheesh, nothing is going SF's way right now.

What a shame that is. So, Randy Wolf finally got some run support last night, as the Dodgers trounced the Reds 12-3 (Wolf himself went 2-3 from the plate, with an RBI)....................Manny (who had a 2-RBI triple in the 1st inning) was hit on the wrist during the 2nd inning, but the x-rays were negative. Could play tonight, if not, he should be back Friday night.

I don't know (though I'm thinking yes). But while on the note of that perfect game... the 9th inning catch robbing a HR was one heck of a catch, too.
